January is right around the corner!
How many of you are getting married in January? Any last minute details you need to take care of? Anything you are stressed about?

i still have to find shoes----argh. i can't find anything i like. but i have an eastern indian friend who is going to do "mendi" hennah tattoos on my feet, so i'm now seriously considering going barefoot--as hot as my satin dress is, i'll not be cold, and my feet will be covered for the most part anyway. (besides, back when i always thought i would have a little garden wedding, i wanted to be barefoot anyway...rambling!!)
anyway, back to topic... it is SOOOO close!!! (53 days??). i feel like nothing is done, but that is mostly me just panicking and stressing needlessly. i keep having weird dreams (esp about shoes!!). so that's pretty much it. i still have to make my delegation lists: who's taking care of fh's tux, who's taking guest book and gifts from ceremony site, etc.
any other teeny logistics i might *possibly* be forgetting in all the holiday hubbub???

What about...
Who is going to take care of all the stuff you take to the ceremony site for last minute getting ready? (makeup, purses, etc.)
Does anyone have to be paid the day of? If so, who is paying them?
If you are leaving for a honeymoon right away, who is taking care of your wedding dress? Are you staying in a hotel where someone will have to pick it up?
Sometimes someone has to be at the reception site to sign for cake, food, deliveries, etc...way before the ceremony and reception. At least it is this way with my vendors. If that is the case...do you have someone lined up for that?
That is all I can come up with right now. I'm sure you have most of them covered!

Um...yeah, that's a good one. My dad had checks for our priest and our organist...and forgot to hand them over! Fortunately, they are both good friends of the family, and will totally understand. BUT--maybe try to pay everyone ahead of time (like at the rehearsal, or even before) OR assign either a REALLY steady person who isn't going to get swept up in the day (ie, NOT MY FATHER) or have a non-wedding party friend responsible for it. We had a friend acting as our informal "coordinator" (she ROCKED too, totally helped me out) and I really should have asked her to do it.

OH YES!!! I'm counting down the days and getting more stressed the closer it gets! I mentioned earlier I haven't even started my c-mas shopping so that's just one more thing to add to the list. FH and I are meeting with landlord of house we're hoping to rent (it's been hard since we both have large dogs). And then we need to go to the tux place and get him measured. This weekend is the shower and I've got to get some shopping done then. I think I started to get stressed last night when I realized EVERY weekend is full between now and the wedding!

Great news!!!!! My large dog is a german shepherd and I was a little nervous about whether the landlords would allow her or not. Turns out they LOVE GS's and have owned one all their life. SO WE GET THE HOUSE!!!!!
As soon as I can I'll show a picture. It has hardwood floors throughout the house, a HUGE backyard(about 1/3 acre), is 2 minutes from our church, and 15 min from FH office! It's perfect!

I will! Hope you find exactly what you're looking for! We're signing the lease tomorrow night and it will be "ours" for at least the next 6 months.

I'm pretty sure I have everything under control...but I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
I'm taking off work tomorrow to do the bridal pictures...then I have a work shower on Thursday during lunch.
I need to pay the cake lady and get a clear punch recipe and rent the punch fountain. Other than that...everything is DONE!

Good for you! I'm no where close. Haven't even started the decor yet.

Fortunately the room we are getting married in is so "busy" with colors and stuff we aren't going to do any decorations.
