hair idea for medium length hair
ok, here is the deal. i am in process of letting my hair grow out. i know i probably picked a very bad time to do this, but what can i say. the wedding will be sometime in late or middle june. my hair is now in kinda of a short shag. does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with it. i am not planning on wearing a veil. i do however have a tiara from my former beauty queen days that i thought might be fixed for this and made to work? help me. i need some hair ideas? i want it down if possible but would consider updo. i want to look elegant and up to date.
thanks,
treasia

If it's in a short shag now, at least what i'm imagining, and your growing it out your gonna need to still keep up with a few cuts in between or it cold end up looking really strange, I know because I cut my hair all off when I get a whim to do it then spend years of growing it out only to get sick of it and cut it off, I have alot of experience growing out shorter hair. so if your still in a weird growing out stage when your wedding arrives I would definitely put it up. A stylist can work with you,so you know what'll work and what won't. I attended my x-bfs senior prom in a wierd stage, looked like a wierd mullet, and no one could tell.

Is there enough hair to be up? Even if it can reach some sort of up-do with aid of bobby pins, is there enough length to have some sort of twist of hair there? I don't have any experience with fake hair additions--maybe someone else does(?).
It's interesting you posted this, because I was going to post a similar question today! I was wanting to grow my hair out, too, but I ended up getting it cut last night because it was more than 6 months since my last haircut! And the stylist went a little crazy and cut too much off. Now I'm left wondering what I'm going to be able to do for my wedding, too!
Something that might work for us is just twisting the front/sides back and leaving the back down either softly curled or flipped up slightly (depending on length). And if you twist the sides of your hair kind of around the bottom edges of the tiara that could look pretty.

I have somewhat medium long hair. I was thinking about pulling my sides up some how and leaving the back in ringlettes. If I do that I am not sure if I will wear a veil or not. I know that I am not pulling it over my face, my dad is shorter than I so he will knock my tiara right off my head . I would say go and look at bridal pictures in book or ont he web to see if anything catches your eye. I wish you luck with this.

If you have it in a short shag now and you want to wear it down, why not just keep it that way? I think it would look lovely with the tiara, you could maybe put some soft curls in it or get it professionally colored with highlights/lowlights to give you a little extra pop and make you feel special.

thanks one and all for the comments. i will let you know some ideas myself. i am going to have the dreaded waxing this morning and am going to bring home some books with me to look at from the hair stylists and ask her opinion of course. i dont' have any recent pictures of me to post. not since it was cut short anyway. i am hoping like crazy it will have grown out by mid june to the length and style i am after. i like the looks of kim cattrall's hair from sex and the city and this is what i am shooting for. my hair does grow really fast. but would appreciate all help with ideas.
thanks,

Yeah, even if it's a little shorter, you could still have the soft curls like that! It would look really pretty!

That pretty much sounds like what I have now (except I don't have a tiara). I'd wear it down and use a curling iron to add waves (or loose curls).

hair talk
Well i went in for a waxing and came out with a trim on hair. Hair stylist infomed me it would be another total of about 6 months for my hair to grow to that length since the top was so short to begin with. It is just now starting to blend in fairly well. But she did say we would and could be able to make it very becoming that day. She suggested an updo for me and we will try the look out before hand as well. She is also going to give it more color (past time for dye job now) and maybe add some highlights to frame my face. So so far sounds good. Will have to see it first though.

That's really good you're working with your stylist in advance to work towards your wedding hair.
