Need Ideas
Good Morning Ladies
Ive missed you guys so much! My first quarter at this new school is almost over. yay (i guess this is the only version of the happy dance)
Anyways, I have a question regarding bridal shower party favors/centerpieces. The brides sister is thinking of doing like a wedding dress theme so i found these really cute party favors and a centerpiece:
http://www.liweddings.com/store/product/?ID=2125 (party favor)
http://www.bridalpeople.com/wedding-...ieces/6353.asp (centerpiece)
I couldnt really find anything else. For some reason, to me, the centerpiece looks kinda freaky or weird. Wouldnt it be? What do you guys think?
Does anyone have any ideas to add to this theme?
By the way, for all the new people, this is for my brothers wedding thats taking place in july, not my wedding

hrm, to me the favor is more weird. I can't see anyone using a bridal candle to decorate anything other than a wedding. But the centerpiece is ok. I don't have any advice for that theme, really. I wish I did. Is there any swaying her on it?

I like the candles. I think the centerpiece might look odd, if it's just sitting by itself in the middle of a table (like on a coffee table). But, I don't think it would look strange on either the guest book table or as a buffet centerpiece. IMHO the only reason it looks freaky in the pic is 'cause it's just sitting there all by itself. As a theme decoration, I think it will enhace the look of the party. It seems to be nice quality.

Whoo-hoo! Shaks is back!!! I got so excited seeing your name! I'm starting to think I should disappear for a while so everyone would be excited to see me again! LOL! Who am I kidding, I can't stay away for minutes, let alone months!
Hmmm. I'm with Cru5h on this one. It's a very cute theme idea, but not something that's going to be of use as a favor idea. Unless you could find little wedding dress baggies that you could put candy in or something. I don't know if such a thing exists. I just made that up.

I'm a sucker for glittery stuff so i liked the mini dresses.
My original idea was to do a coffee cup theme. Since Armenians are so much into coffee cups, i thought it would be cute to get those little coffee cups filled with candles and for centerpieces get those huge mugs with just flowers in it. But i'm not the one hosting the shower so i can only throw out ideas. oh well
Thanks Vic, i'm glad to be back too, i get a whole 2 weeks off until the next quarter starts. yay me *being sarcastic*

The coffee mug thing is a cute idea.
I'd use the cute candles to decorate at the shower, by the way.

How many centerpiece will u need it could get a little expensive. I seen those candles on ebay for a little less. For a centerpiece you could do a flower arrangement in the shower colors and put something old, borrowed, new, blue in them. I've seen it done at a few showers.

First off - WELCOME BACK! I've really missed you!
Now - to the favors and centerpieces. Those candles are CUTE, but I'm not sure I'd give them out as favors. I'm not sure who would actually use them after the fact. I would probably use them at the reception.
On the centerpieces - Again, I'm not sure I'd use them at a bridal shower. I'd probably use them at a reception; one on the buffet table, one on the gift table, and one on the name card table (if you're having assigned seating).

I guess the reason I like them is that my Mom would actually use them. Of course, she is rather strange, especially about her candles. The more different they are, the better she likes them. LOL You should see her house around Christmas...candles EVERYWHERE!

I like the centerpiece dress. If it were with other decorations so it fit in, I think it would look cool.
I think the favors are cute but I agree with the other ladies, they might not be used ever again. Maybe you could just get a few and use them with the other dress as more centerpiece decorations.

I'm not keen on the centerpieces. I like the candle, but I would never burn it and don't know what I would do with it.
Enjoy your spring break!!!
