Thumbs up Vegas Stuff

My Fh and I are getting married in Vegas. We are planning to have the reception at the same hotel we are getting married in. The "Vegas" theme has kind of overwhelmed us, because there are so many great ideas. I dont know if anyone else is in the predicament, but we have decided so far
Favors: Engraved water goblets filled with chips and dice from the casino.
Table Decorations: Poker chips (we made our own poker chips by buying 200 clay ones and putting the wedding seal we used for our invitations on each side. )
Centerpieces: Small glass vases that we decoupaged paper money onto filled with the same roses from the wedding.

That is what we have so far. Does anyone think that this arrangement is too much, or too little?

Thanks- VEGAS Bound!

I think that sounds like a lot of fun. I've seen very cute place card holders that follow the theme of playing suits and some other very fun "Vegas" type stuff that may interest you...if I can remember where I'll post the link and a pic.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and welcome to Pash!

That sounds great but I can see why it may seem overwhelming. If the wedding and reception are in Vegas your guests are already getting the Vegas effect.

I think though, that everything you have listed is just enough and you've personalized everything with your wedding which is perfect. I don't think I would do too much more.

Congrats & Welcome to Pash!

I'm so impressed that you went to the trouble of stamping 200 clay poker chips! It sounds like it will be amazing! Did you pick the hotel yet? How many people are you inviting? It sounds like it will be a blast!!

Welcome!

Your plans sound like fun with a nice personal touch. I think Heather's right though. Guests will already be getting the Vega-effect by being there so I would embrace what you have and let the rest of the feel come from the atomosphere around you.

Welcome to Pash!

I tried to reply to this last night, but hit back by accident
I didn't have the patience to re-type it...

Anyway, I'll echo what Heather said... I think what you have just now will give them the Vegas touch without being too much. But if you want to do VEGAS then why not go the whole hog? Bring on the dancing girls & boas

I guess it depends if you were aiming for Vegas touches or all out overblown VEGAS

I'd be slightly tempted to aim for all out overblown VEGAS even though I'd normally lean towards more subtle schemes... If you're going to do Vegas why not do it big style?!

Oh, are you getting an Elvis impersonator? This was my FH's dream for us to go to Vegas and get married by "fat Elvis." He was dead serious. I had to promise him SOMEDAY we'd go get our vows renewed by "fat Elvis." But I guess if you want the whole "Vegas experience" it could be fun to have at the reception or something.
