It's gorgeous, but I can see how people would think it would look over the top. It depends on the body type. I would look like a mushroom in it, but it's still an absolutely gorgeous dress! Congrats!

Should i care what other people think? I've got the "I dont care what anybody thinks" attitude.. But because this day means so much to me.. its starting to get to me.

If you love your dress, then stick with it. Some people don't like my dress, but I don't care! This is YOUR day not theirs. I happen to think that dress is veryy pretty.

I agree that it's very pretty...the skirt is very "in" right now and I think that if YOU feel good in it, you should wear it.

And welcome to Pash!

Do your thing, girl. The dress is not over-the-top. If you had feathers shooting out of the top and sequins all over it I'd say, "yeah... that's a little over the top." But don't even give wedding day naysayers a nod. Even if it was over-the-top, why do they care? Are they going to talk crap on your wedding day? I doubt it. No one will. They will say how elegant you look, more than likely. Go for it.

If you were having a backyard barbeque, then I would say a little over the top! But it is gorgeously dramatic for a formal wedding! Welcome to Pash! Looking forward to getting to know you better and hear more about your wedding plans!

Its a beautiful dress for a formal wedding. If you can wear that style, go for it and don't worry about what others say. Once they see you in it, they will be "wowed."

It's your day wear what dress you want. You only have your dream wedding once. I think the dress is beautiful I would go for it.

Absolutely stunning! I say go for it! It's your day, no one elses! Who cares if they think its over the top, you love it! I do think it might be a bit much for a backyard wedding though...

I think it is beautiful. If you love it and feel good in it I wouldn't worry about others. My mother is not keen on the dress I think I want.... but it is all about me and I don't care.

I wish i was having a backyard wedding. But being Greek, I've counted so far at least 450 guest (including my parents friends from their village 30 odd years ago) and that's not including MY friends! Its shocking. My FH and I are paying for ourselves and bridal party.. but the parents insist on the rest. I guess this is what being the youngest on both ends does to you

Do I have the right to go crazy now?!?!?!?!

OMG! 450 guests!

How are you even supposed to plan for that number of guests?!

Do you think they will all attend?

This has frazzled my mind! Where would you even hold it? You'd need a conference venue just to hold them all!

Good luck with planning, it sounds like you've got quite a task on your hands

ETA: I don't think your dress will be OTT for a wedding of that size!

I've been to a Greek wedding and there were at least 500 people there. It was an all day affair and a really great time.

Wow! 450 people! Yes, you NEED an OTT dress to stand out in that crowd! It sounds very overwhelming to plan--and I can only imagine the cost! But I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more about your plans.

The dress is beautiful! For a formal wedding it's perfect, you are supposed to be a princess that day, and your dress just ensures you'll look the part! I know how you feel about the guest list, We've got one that big too, staying organized is the key!

I don't think the dress is over-the-top at all. It's not my style, but if you love it and it looks great on you, then wear it without worrying about what everyone else thinks.
