what's appropriate?
What is appropriate wedding dress for a 4th time bride getting married at sunset outside of church in a pavilion? Only a few family members and friends are invited. We want to keep it simple and tasteful. I know i shouldn't wear white of course want to wear ivory. But should it be like a mother of the bride dress? or something more? Tea Length perhaps? Please advise.
Thank you,
Treasia

You can wear whatever type of dress you want!
I'm on my second wedding and I'm going for an almond colored, tea length dress.... well at least that's what I've found for now.
Since you're having a small ceremony, would you prefer a more simple dress instead of the classic wedding gown?

thank you
I would actually like a tea length (if i can find one) dress that is an actual wedding dress. something possilby with halter style top and two pieces. top and bottom. but didn't know if it would be appropriate or not. my better half told me to wear whatever makes me happy and comfortable.
thanks so much. while this is supposed to be fun and happy time. i am finding myself getting more and more stressed over the little things.

It's your wedding it doesn't matter if this is your 20th wedding u wear what u want to wear. If you want to wear white then wear it I don't see a problem with it.

You might look for party dresses, such as cocktail dresses, as well as bridesmaids' dresses. You might also have a dress made. The one shown above is lovely.
You don't have to wear ivory if that color doesn't look as nice with your skin tones as white. And, you don't have to wear white or ivory. Since you are having a small, informal wedding, you might wear a dress in any color that you really like. If you find a beautiful dress in blue, pink, or another shade that you love, go for it.

advice and dresses
Those are lovely dresses and exactly what I have in mind. Thanks to all of you for the ideas. The wedding is set for June 9th. We have so much to do besides the wedding even. Planning a 4 day trip to texas the first week in April and still have plans to make for that as well. When does the fun start.

Hi I just wanted to add a wee welcome
I really like soft colours for second time brides (or fourth time!)... I love gold hues best or honey shades, but soft pinks seem to be quite popular too.
I would definitely recommend looking at bridesmaids dresses because the savings can be quite substantial for a dress that is of the same quality & cut as a bridal gown.
