Default Please help me with my Tanning Bed troubles

What works best for you when you go tanning? I know it's bad for my skin and I'll be old and wrinkly with Kathy Lee Gifford tits, but I'm young now so I just want a nice base tan for my collection of bikinis this summer and hopefully my wedding whenever we get that ordeal sorted out. Anyway ,It's kind of weird. When I tan outside in the summer I will have a pretty good tan in like a week and a half. I've been tanning in the beds for about three weeks now every second or third day and I've moved up to 15 minutes and I'll notice my cheeks get kind of rosy and I'll have a bit of a glow on my body after I go, but not much of anything to show for it. I was using the the "Get Dark" lotion for about the first two weeks and I've noticed darker results without using it, but if you have any tips for how to get the most out of tanning let me know. I always put on Vichy After Sun when I get home as I've heard that keeping your skin moisturized is the best way to prolong your tan. Maybe I should just up myself to twenty minutes. The only part of me that seems to be tanning well is my belly. Please help.

My belly and back always gets dark fast. Are the beds any good and are u on any meds? I like Australian Gold when I first start out tanning for the first 10 or so lays. Then I go to something with a small tingle then after about a month and half tanning I go to a higher power tanning lotion. I got the really good bottle last year it was like $170 it's good if u have that kind of money. My aunt owns a tanning salon so I get her deals.

If this was say... 12-15 years ago I could help you. Whenever I go in the sun for more than an hour I just burst into flames. It's sexy. Then I don't tan after the burn... I return back to my anti-pigment. Red. White. White. Red. White. The end.

Cru5h my little sister is like you she can't tan at all. She has tried every thing it don't work. She has learned to live with spray tan.

Yeah, so have I When I was younger I would be at the beach every weekend, so I didn't burn unless I was out there for like 5-6 hours and didn't reapply sunscreen (read: not sunblock like I have to use now!). I'm going to do a trial Mystic Tan once the summer starts here, and if I'm not orange I'll do it again for the wedding.

I'm really fair skinned and a sun-blockaholic, but we are also lake goers and I will get color in the summer (without burning I might say because of the previous mentioned reasons)...So, back to the topic on hand...I still have tan lines from last summer and am wearing a strapless wedding dress in 40 some days...so I've had to go to the tanning bed...I found a very low UV ray bed (which has cost me an arm and a leg), but my fair skin hasn't gotten pink AT ALL...and after only 5 sessions I've started to get a good base tan...BTW...my belly and back have tanned much better than the rest of me too,...what is up with that?

i also use a good accelerator lotion...and remember to exfoiliate.

I have used tanning beds off and on for years. I have used every accelerator and all that. For me what works best is my regular everyday lotion. I exfoliate in the shower and put on lotion when I get out. If I am going to tan, then I put lotion on about a hour before I go. That's how I have gotten the darkest.

I Mystic Tan! Last summer I went once a week for it and I was dark! It was very natural looking. The key is to go a few times to even it out. You will notice lines and streaks the first time most likely.
