Default Making a Toast to Someone You Don't Know

If you have to offer a toast to the bridal couple but you are only close to either the bride or the groom, don't be afraid to talk to the other's family and friends. They are a wellspring of anecdotes. At the rehearsal dinner, strike up a conversation about the bride or groom and fish for great stories that you can incorporate into your toast.

Default Literally Throwing a Toast

Submitted by: Anna B. of Burlington

At my uncle's wedding, when my dad, the best man, said "I'd like to make a toast," everyone threw toast at the bride and groom. The best part about it was the fact that my great grandpa thought it was a pretty cheap hors d'oeuvres.
