Wedding Programs
Submitted by: Cheryl Galvez

During your wedding ceremony, you will have many guests of varying religions in attendance. Before the ceremony begins, have your ushers hand out your wedding programs wherein it describes each of your religious wedding customs. That way, your guests can understand and fully appreciate the significance of the day's events.

Huppah with Long Poles
Submitted by: Miriam

Two things that happened at our wedding that should be avoided. We made the mistake of renting a huppah with very short poles. The four people holding it had to really strain to keep it in the air and their arms were hurting afterward. If you want to honor four people by having them hold the huppah, get a huppah with long poles - better yet a free standing huppah. Also, be sure your officiant remembers to complete all civil paperwork. Our rabbi left out information on our civil license and we had to track him down. Luckily, everthing was straightened out but it was a little tense for a bit!
