Size Does NOT Matter
Submitted by: F. Steven Galvez

Don't choose a diamond ring based on size alone. Sometimes a larger diamond possesses lesser value than a smaller one of higher clarity. Beware of jewelers pushing larger rings at higher prices. Make sure you personally inspect the diamond under a gemscope to ensure there are only slight inclusions.

Tatooed Wedding Bands
Submitted by: Beth of Chicago, Illinois, USA

What could be more devoted and permanent than tattooed wedding bands? From simple, to tribal or celtic, or even each other's names in any language. Then, at the time of the wedding, exchange a simple gold or silver band for tradition or symbolism. No need for something material or costly if you have your real ring with you all the time.

if you have an engagement ring be careful what wedding ring you buy. if the wedding or engagement ring is of a higher karat that its counterpart then the high karat ring will wear away quicker... try to match the karat quality of both rings to ensure your rings have a long life.

also beware of buying platinum rings because theyre coated in rhodium to keep then white and shiny (platinum is naturally dull!) this plating often wears off and needs replacing from time to time.

any more questions simply email me or visit our website www.iosilver.co.uk (not a shameless plug, a genuine offer to help) although we specialise in silver weve a significant experience in most aspects of jewellery.

there may be typos in the above post, im a jeweller, not a novellist

Hey Mark, I have a...Iguess Unique engagement ring, and am having a VERY hrd time trying to find a wedding band that will properly suite my E-ring!

It's not an "engagment ring" It's actually a "Right hand ring" I chose it for a e-ring though!

If I take a picture of it and post a pic...Is there chance that you could possibly have look and throw out some ideas!?

Thanks,

Jayme

I'm having a similar problem. First of all, I have short stubby fingers so wearing two rings is gonna be a challenge anyway, and second my engagement ring is very simple and different from most. White gold with small baguette diamonds inlaid. Not the typical solitaire ring. That kinda makes anything other than a thin plain band look funny. Any ideas?

We had a hard time finding a wedding ring since DF didn't purchase a set. Perseverance paid off. You can always have something custom made. Custom made doesn't mean it's more expensive!!! Also it's fairly comon now days to not have a wedding band, or that your e-ring is also your wedding band. It just means you have a naked finger for the ceremony.
