Stamps
Would any of you be interested in customized stamps? Steph and I belong to a not-for-profit and we have a store where we can customize a lot of different items, including stamps. I ordered them a while ago and they're very nice and a good size too. They are a little more expensive for a sheet but they come out really, really well.
If you're interested let me know and I'll see if what you want can be created. A little bonus is that you'll be helping the NFP organization help others as they will receive a small profit for each sheet. (Like a dollar or two I think.)

I'm not sure, lol. I think if you have a customized image you can put it on a stamp. Let me search around and see what I can find.
ETA: I can't really find anything b/c there are hundreds of pictures. The stamps are about 1x1 inches. You can use just about any image within reason of course. I believe they have to be approved by the post office (or someone who represents the post office.)
Here's a link to our organization's stamps:

The organization is called Alpha Chi Omicron INC. It's a sorority at a SUNY college. They are a fully functioning NFP and as such, do a lot of community services for the town and college but also need help themselves. I was an active member of the org in the early-mid 90's and since have served as President of the Corporate Board (the corporate part of the org, not the active college student org) for seven years. Right before my back surgery in 2005 I resigned as President and asked Steph if she would take over. Thankfully she accepted and she's now at the helm. I'm still involved, but only in an advisory role. Steph and I work very well together and we're always on the same page. We've just started the process of developing an entire strategic marketing plan that we hope will see us well into the future.
As part of the board we've developed a lot of programs and initiatives to help our members, our alumni and women in college. Take a peek at the site if you would like: http://www.alphachiomicron.com (I created it and still manage the site free of charge of course.) Check out the "Our Vision" page and "For Mom and Dad". Those will give you a clearer idea of what the org is about.
Also - we don't "work" for the organization. Everything we do and all of the time we put in is volunteer.

I hear you! It's so much work, it was getting to be like a part-time job and with surgery and regular work I just couldn't do it anymore. I know I left everything in capable hands though so I wasn't worried about a thing. I still want to be involved though because it truly is a labor of love. I want to see the organization succeed so we can branch out and help even more women in college realize their potential and their goals. (Part of the reason why I stared PW too.)

1st, I want to say that stamps.com charges the same exact amount that your oranization does. So it seems like if people can order through you it at least benefits someone
2nd I wanted to know what the turn around time was on creating them? I'll ask Steph, if you have to much on your plate right now with your upcoming surgury.
Also how do you ship them out and what is that cost?
TIA

I don't ship them out myself, and CafePress handles all of the orders, etc. I believe shipping is normal USPO rates. What happens is the organization will get a small percentage of the sale. I think when I ordered them, the amount was maybe $1.00? I don't remember exactly - Steph, maybe you can provide more information about that?

From past experience CafePress items take about 10 days for delivery regular shipping because they create the item once you place the order. You can pick quicker shipping for a higher fee. How many stamps were you looking to purchase?
On our site our custom made stamps for the Sorority are $18.99 for 20 $.39 Stamps.
