Default Shower gift?

Is the groom suppose to give his bride-to-be a gift at showers given in her honor?

Nope. ETA: Though the bridal shower is typically just women, the majority of the gifts she will be receiving will be for you too. I've been to showers where the groom shows up at the very end to say hello to everyone and to thank them for the gifts. (Doesn't replace thank you notes.)

My husband did send me flowers to be delivered during my shower though. It was a really sweet gesture and of course all the women swooned.

The shower is just not for the bride she is getting things for the house that both of you will live in. I also have seen a lot of men show up at the end to say ty and help pack all the gifts up.

The only time I have seen the groom give a gift at a shower it has been a joke gift to add a bit of surprise to things, but otherwise, no gift needed.
