Default Bridal Shows

We had 2 in the area today so I got the chance to go to one of them. It had 53 vendors and we got these little pass port cards. We had to go around to every vendor and have the passport stamped. It took over 3 hours to do all this. I was ready to scream by the time I got out of there. My MOH went with me but really didn't help out. Don't get me wrong I'm really glad she went with me but she had her two kids with her and her 3 year old was running around the hole time. He keep wanting to go play the games or look in the toy store. Just not a place for kids!

I really didn't find no helpful info there. Most of the places that was there are 2 hours away or was country clubs that you had to become a members to if you wanted to have your wedding there. On the up side of things I did win a $50 gift card to a salon in the area. I will use it to go buy my shampoo and hair spray. I couldn't stay till 5 since I had a friends wedding to go to today that was win the big prizes was given. Mom said on the news they only had 72 people sign up and they had 20 big prizes to give away. So I still might get some better news.

Just wondering is any one ever found any thing at a bridal show? There is another one in Roanoke about 2 hours away in a few weeks. Kenny said if I wanted him to go he would. But after this show I really don't know if I want to go through this again.

I found my master of ceremonies at a wedding show in Glasgow!

I was so excited to find him, he had worked my FSIL's wedding last year and did a wonderful job; kept everything running on time, all the guests knew where they had to be & when and Angela & Jamie didn't have to stress out...

Well I spotted him and grabbed him immediately and asked what he'd charge... My mum offerred to pay for his services because she knew how much I wanted a professional MC.

I found the supplier for our kilt rental at the bridal show, but I already kind of knew they did it it just gave me a chance to compare the quality and prices of the different suppliers...

I found our band at the wedding show too! They gave me a cd & their email address and let me know they had a showcase coming up locally so we could check out their sound live... They were better than I expected and about average price for our area so I booked them. We got a discount off their price because we met them through the wedding fair.

I bought my tiara at that wedding fair too... I was walking past the stand and it totally sparkled and caught my eye

So I guess my answer is yes! I found quite a lot!

I went to one in October or November (not sure which), I got a good deal on the tuxs for the guys. I got a $100.00 off a wedding gown. I got a ton of information that I thru away. It took me a week to thru all the stuff, but I finally did! SO I would say sometimes you can, sometimes you won't.

I also had a hit and miss with the show I went to. Some info was useful, some was not. I also got a free garter that is also blue, so something I don't have to buy! Lol- oh, and of course, I got lots of pens. (I looooove pens.)

I only got one pen. I love pens! lol When we first got there we passed a lady throwing a piece of cake in the trash and talking about how nasty it was. After we got a chance to take a bite we knew why she didn't like it. It really tasted like dirt. I couldn't believe someone would give out samples of there cake when it wasn't good. My MOH little boy wouldn't eat it.

I'm not really going to find vendors. I have mostly every thing planned but they give away a lot of cool stuff.

I found my photographer at a bridal show. I viewed my videographer's work at another bridal show.

My opinion? If they are free admittance, they're great. If you have to pay, not so great, particularly if you already have the "big" stuff planned.
