Long distance planner
Hey everyone!
Where to begin?!?! Well, i guess at the beginning is always a good place to start. I met my fiance five years ago at a strike party for the Comair pilots. We kept in touch for a while but then I got scared and ran away. After both of us getting out of long term relationships, we reconnected on the computer one night and within two months we were engaged. It was a true fairy tale the first time we saw each other after being seperated for so long. We only had ten minutes before he had to leave again and within that ten minutes, we both just knew. There were no words spoken... just electricity!
We were PLANNING on getting married in april of '07 so i could finish my masters degree (I live in Florida, him in Kentucky so i had to finish before i moved). I'm doing my whole degree in less than a year so I can be with him. Things changed and for reasons built in the cosmos we are now getting married six months sooner in a completely different state (California) than either of us lives in!
So here I am... crazy in love but waiting for that day to come!

Welcome! How'd you decide on California? Do either of you have family there or just wanted to do a destination wedding?

Hi there, I'm a newbie too - I can totally sympathise with you as I live in England and am planning my wedding which is going to be in NZ - thank god for my parents and my in-laws is I can say as they are taking the reigns back home!
Wow finishing your degree in a year - that is pretty amazing!

Michaels father and siblings and the 498537305723 or so other family members live there. They're helping but its just not the same as going out cake tasting yourself ya know?!

Welcome again...i think I've already posted in another thread of yours.
That sounds like a crazy situation! It must be hard to be so far away. I'm sure you two can plan a trip to go out for a week and have appointments lined up to see venues, taste foods, etc.
Congrats again!

We're gonna try to go out for my spring break in march even if just for a day but after that, i just dont know. Im relying on digital cameras from family to take pics of stuff so i can decide from that.
