Gifts
I am having two showers. One thrown by my bridal party 2 weeks before the wedding and the other one next weekend. The one thrown by my bridal party will not recieve a hostess gift besides a card. But the other shower is going to be thrown by all the ladies that knew matt when he was growing up. Do you think a candle (four wick) and a glass plate candle holder will work?
Also on the thank you cards for the hostess how do i word them? I am not good with writing thank you cards and I know i have to get better with this, but i am stumped right now. Please help.

I think that would work very nicely! Especially if she likes candles!

I think it'd work nicely too. Most people don't treat themselves to a really pretty candle with plate very often.

I think the candles would be ideal
I'd just thank them for being so kind as to host your shower, and that you were really grateful. If you fill it out a bit that should be enough.

I think the candle is a nice idea.
In the card I would just put something like: "I really appreciate your generosity and your excitement for Matt and I. Thank you for hosting the lovely shower!"

I like the candle idea.
As for what to put on the card... just thank them for throwing the shower. Let them know how much you appreciate it. If you're giving the gifts after the shower, talk about how wonderful the shower was... or if it's before... how wonderful you anticipate it to be.

I like the wording, but be sure to say "Matt and me," not "Matt and I."

Thank you ladies. I am going to have the gifts ready to give to them before I go to the shower, so that is why I didn't really know what to ut on the thank you card.
