Default Thinking about music now...

Two questions:

Is it wrong to steal Bebe's Etta James At Last walking down the aisle? I really want to do it! I think it was an absolutely gorgeous idea and I've been trying so hard to find something to walk to that wasn't Here Comes the Bride/Canon in D.

Can the first dance be to a blues song or should it really be a happy song? I kind of want us to dance to These Arms of Mine. That's really not appropriate, is it? Help me!

Question #1: No, it's not wrong. Unless you are having all the same guests as bebe did at her wedding, it's not like anyone will even know. Besides, imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Question #2: You dance to whatever you want for your first song. If that's what you and Tom want to dance to, then do it!

Now, if you want something inappropriate, use the song "Brickhouse" for your father/daughter dance. When I was on theknot.com, someone actually posted that she and her father used this song for their father/daughter dance. It was sort of an inside joke, but I think that's just weird.

Don't see anything wrong with it, either.

But... to be even more inappropriate than Feb... You could always use Jimmy Buffet's "Let's Get Drunk and Screw" as your first dance!

I agree with everyone else. Nothing wrong with it. I'm sure bebe will be nothing but flattered

Margie- I don't know who sings it, but I heard a country song last week the title was "I'm going to hire a wino to decorate my home" It was the funniest thing I have ever heard

Nevermind the second question. This song, whatever it may sound like, will be my first dance with Tom.

Considering Bebe is letting her friend use her BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES, I don't think she'll mind you using that song! I think that would be really pretty and dramatic--breathtaking!

Ok, talk about inappropriate first dance songs. My ex-BIL and his wife used OMD's "So in Love." Ok, so some of you younger gals might not even remember this song: Mid-80s new wave. It is a GREAT song! I love it, so I'm sure they probably had a reason for it. While it's CALLED "So in Love," it's about a horrible break-up! As in, I thought we were so in love, boy was I ever wrong!! When they were dancing to this, I was like have they ever listened to the words?!?!?!?

Talk to me, don’t lie to me
Save your breath
Don’t look at me, don’t smile at me
Just close your eyes
I was so impressed by you
I was running blind
I would fall for every trick
Every twist of mind

Heaven is cold
Without any soul
It’s hard to believe
I was so in love with you

Don’t say your prayers, don’t build your hopes
Just walk away
Don’t phone me up, don’t call around
Don’t waste your time
You were so in awe of me
You were so divine
You would do just anything
To still be mine

Heaven is cold
Without any soul
It’s hard to believe
I was so in love with you

All the things you said to me
I was so upset
You were always talking talking
God I did my best

Heaven is cold
Without any soul
It’s hard to believe
I was so in love with you

I have been tempted to use songs that are about break ups- cause they sound nice But I never would!!! That's crazy!

hehe. I wish I could sing that song for you guys-

"We'll get rid of the dining room table, and put a bar across that wall-

A great big neon sign pointing to the bathroom down the hall..."
