Default Buck and doe or stag and doe

I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas of some fun games to play at a buck and doe? Mine is in a month and I don't have many..if anyone could suggest something that would be great.

For those of you that might not know what this is, its a party to rasie money for the bride and groom. You sell tickets have music, games, prizes and sometimes food. Its a lot of fun and a great way to raise some extra cash for the wedding!

Thanks

Hehe we're pretty much all familiar with the Buck & Doe (I speak too soon, I know)

This topic always turns into a big old debate. But I *think* we've disected this ad nauseum and can just answer the question without telling the poster our opinions on the actual party itself. Right? Right!

If not - I'm making a plea:
Please ONLY respond with game ideas, and not whether or not you like this kind of party or anything remotely similar.

I have never attended a B&D party to date. However, I've attended a quinceañera (sweet 15) where people danced with the birthday girl and pinned money to her dress.

Let me get my creative juices flowing and I'll come back with some revenue generating ideas for you.

I'm sure you could do a search for "bachelorette party games" and find some things in that list that could be adapted for your purpose.

Sorry, I've never been to one either. My Mom's best friend threw one for her son/DIL. I'll ask my Mom what games (if any) they played. The couple's getting married this weekend... so it will be next week before I can find anything out for you.

Remind me!

One of the activities that I hear about is having a casino night. The equipment can be rented at rental centers if you have people to act as dealers. Just be careful that no money changes hands or you could be busted for gambling. The guests would get tickets when they arrive which they use to bet. The winners can exchange their tickets for prizes or for drinks, etc.

I've helped organize a few "Stag and Doe" Parties and I found a few things that worked. Take a peice of bristol board and draw 50 squares on it and number them. Have people buy a square for $2.00 and write their name (first and last) on the square. Have 50 small pieces of paper already cut and ready, and then put them into a hat. When all of the squares are filled up, ask the DJ to pull a number from the hat. Whichever number is pulled... the person who's name is on the corresponding number on the board wins a prize. We often use a $25.00 gift certificate from the LCBO or local liquor store.

Door Prizes are always good, and we've had great succes with 50/50. People always like to win more money to buy booze with, and sometimes they even give it back to the bride and groom.

One tip, always have lots of foodand put it out around 10:30p.m. It's been my experience that if people eat earlier, they drink more, but don't get so unruly (drunk).
