Default what do you think of this wording

(***note different wording for family vs. single)

We look forward to celebrating with
(big line here where we wrote in each name)
Of the (insert # invited here) of us, ___ will attend

and

We look forward to celebrating with
(line where we wrote the name)
_Yes, I'll be there!
_Unfortunately, I can't attend.

I think they're both nice.

Ok, this is only going to bother ME because I'm a copy editor, but I'm not digging the switch from you "speaking" to them ("we" -> "I/us").

First read I think they look great, but going over them after Jen's comment I can see the problem...

To rectify it I think you'd need to leave a big gap between:

We look forward to celebrating with,
______________________________

and

Of the (insert # invited here) of us, ___ will attend.

The issue is that the first line looks like you are speaking to the guest while the second line looks like the guest is speaking to you. The grammer gets a bit confusing when it is all written as one block.

Setting that aside for a moment; most people will not notice, will have no issue with your grammer & will know exactly how to fill it in. So... they'll do the job fine, won't confuse your guests and make a nice change from the usual wording.
