What fun!
You look pretty in your dress, and I love the color of the BM's dresses.
Are you using red and another color?

By plans for the hall I assume you mean the reception hall.

We're going to wrap the pillars in tulle and twinkle lights.
The tables will have white linens and the chairs will be covers in white with silver sashes.

My *other* colors are silver and gold, because silver are the accents on the dresses and gold is everywhere in my venues, not just the hotel but the church as well.

The centerpieces will be tiny (8") lit christmas trees on a mirrored tile, surrounded by tealights and glittery snowflakes.

The head table will have greenery swagged across the front and our bouquets in vases.
There will be trios of trees in different sizes set up throughout the room.

My favors are glass ornament balls with our names and the date printed on them, they'll be placed at each setting, except for the childrens table which will have a box with a craft kit in it, in case of a lack of entertainment for them.

Where the podium is, is where the head table will be and directly in front of that will be the dance floor with tables on either side, the cake table will be set up in the middle of the dance floor, and will be cut before dinner... strange I know but this way they can serve it as dessert after our sit down dinner.

The pic of the ballroom is only about 3/4 of it. The wall behind the podium is made up of windows like those in the back of the room, so two walls of the room are windows.

As for the lack of smile my sister who took the pics is like the paparazzi she just takes the pics without warning.

If any one has flower suggestions I'm so open right now. I don't have alot of limitations on them, I just don't want to go overboard. His mother is helping at her aunts floral shop to pay for them and I was told not to ask questions about pricing, but I don't want to knowingly take advantage. I do want something that looks a little christmasy.

That sounds so pretty!!! Do you want TOTALLY Christmassy flowers--or just a little bit? I think pointsettas with holly leaves and berries would look really pretty. Maybe red poinsettas might be too much, since the girls are in red and it might clash. But white pointsettas would look more understated, yet dramatic at the same time.

I love the idea of white pointsettas. That would be so pretty!

Your plans so far sound lovely. Please keep sharing with us!

No pointsettas for me, evidently when cut, the excrete a substance that can cause skin irritations, expecially in those who are allergic to latex. My sister and bridesmaid is soo allergic to latex, maybe just some in my bouquet.

New decisions:

Flowergirls dresses:

In silver

We're debating the guys tuxes now,
Traditional or long jacket.

I like the long jacket it looks kinda like a zoot suit, I think it's fun he likes the shorter one, so as of now we're going with the shorter jacket and the color vests I picked out since he doesn't like those very much either. But he wants blue which does not go with my christmas theme.

I'm gonna start making the invites this weekend so I should have and example soon.

Oh my gosh! I'm glad you found this out now, though! Could you imagine?! Just make sure she doesn't get anywhere NEAR the bouquet toss! I'm sure petals/leaves will get torn in the fray!

lol girl - you look like a deer caught in headlights. The funny thing is the first time I tried on a dress I looked the exact same way and I KNEW the picture was being taken, lol. I was thinking: "Holy Sh*t. I'm in a wedding dress. A white one even."

I love your save the dates, they're very pretty.

Ok so I didn't know "where" to put this question so I just tacked it on here...

When did you or do you plan on registering, I mean how close to the date. Because people keep asking me and I'm like um not yet? I dunno.

I just made sure I was registered before the invites went out for my 1st shower. I don't know when the "official" registration deadline is.

I went to the florist today and well the one bouquet that everyone seemed to love including me is made of anemones, which are not avaiable during December . But she had some good ideas and here's kinda what the bridemaids will look like mine will be the same but will have red roses mixed in

I know it's not wonderful but I threw it together cut and pasting... but it knida gives and idea, we'll be using white hydrangeas and Hypericum berries as well as these pretty little rhinestone things. Then like I said min will have red rose and the men will have rose(s) with the berries.
