I have 6 tattoo's & I'm not sure if they should be completely covered or not. Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME?????

Welcome to Pash!!! And congrats on your engagement!!!

I think its completely up to you!! If you want them to show, then let them. If you want them covered, then cover them. Good luck finding your perfect dress! Do you have any specific dresses or ideas in mind? Post pics if you do, we'd love to see them!!!

Where are your tatoos? Do you like the color off white? Do you like long dresses or short dresses? Are you looking for a traditional wedding gown?

First off, welcome to Pash!

Second, I think that covering your tats or not is completely up to you. I am assuming from your post that you want to go all out and have a traditional wedding dress. If you have any ideas right off the bat, post links or pics so we can see and point you toward other stuff we've seen.

FYI, there is makeup you can use to cover tats if they're small. Good luck with everything and keep us posted!

Welcome to the forums!

I'm not one for tradition, and I think if you're proud of your tattoos and what they mean to you, don't hide them. They're as much a part of you as your nose or something, when there is sentimental value involved.

If you've got the cookie-cutter image of a wedding in mind for yourself and want to cover up, then go for it. But don't do it because you think it's what other people would like to see.

If you choose to display them, maybe decorate them for the wedding with tiny rhinestones or that sugary looking light glitter they make now (craft store). It's iridescent and really pretty. Get a little skin glue and hook 'em up. That's what I'd do if I had tats. They'd be incorporated into my day.

For the "perfect" dress do you mean that it fits you perfectly, or is your to-die-for-dream-dress, or that it can be used again for something else after the wedding, or a combination of any of the above? I'd say go with a color you love, and that compliments your tones. Beyond that, you'll need to provide a little more info about your tastes. Good luck! And most importantly, HAVE FUN. Stay yourself

Hi-ya Steplb and welcome

As for your tats I think if you are comfortable with them go ahead and show them. I believe that a wedding should reflect the bride and groom’s personality. I’m not sure how your friends and family feel about them but it is your day and your celebration.

Like Cru5h I’m also a non-traditionalist, so as for your dress I say anything goes. This will be my second marriage and I’m thinking of incorporating color with my dress although I haven’t really decide.

Default Dress Help

Thank you all for welcoming me, I actually feel welcomed. The dresses I found so far are at www.bridalstoreonline.com - style: ALEXIS on pg. 1, style: Erin on pg. 2 & style G1018 on pg. 3. My favorite color is any color of blue.
Here are what & where my tattoos are: white tiger w/ blue rose on right breast, 5 roses on bikini line, dolphin w/ pieses sign on left arm, dolphin heart w/ our names in it on right arm, sacred heart of Jesus on left outer thigh, & my newest is a grey/black tiger cub on left breast. They all have a special meaning. The tat on my kleft arm is for my oldest neice. The 1st tiger was because my 1st ex-husband told me that I wasn't allowed to have one while we were married so I got it when I left him. My 2nd ex told me the same thing so when I left him I got the rest. My fiance likes them & I told him that I only want one more which will be of my neices inside a heart on my lower back.

Well it wouldn't let me save the pictures but here are the links to the dress u was talking about. I really like ERIN you could even get the jacket to match if you want to cover your tattoos. I have 3 tattoos two of them are really easy to cover but I have one on my chest. I had to have my dress fit a little higher to cover it. All the dresses you have picked are beautiful. I would have a hard time picking.

I like the first two the best. Make sure you take into consideration where the weddings at. I say a show the other day and the bride had a flowy skirt like the first one and the weddign was outside. The dress got caught on sticks and branches and ripped. She also kept getting bugs caught in the netting like top layer, yuck.

I like the first one best. The third is nice if you want to cover up. But I wouldn't, since you both like your tats a lot. But if you choose to display them, make sure you show as much of the visible ones as possible. Like the ones on your chest, depending on the cut of the dress and how it looks on you, might they be partially covered up? Just keep in mind how they look with the dresses when you go to try some on.

Welcome!! And, congratulations!! What kind of a wedding are you going to have this time? If you're doing a big wedding, nothing wrong with a big wedding dress to go with it!

I really like the 1st one, but the 2nd is great if you want to cover up with the bolero jacket... it is very classy!!

Default Dresss help-TYPE OF WEDDING

I'm trying to plan a tropical wedding down in the Florida Keys, but given the time of year, the way my luck would probably be there would be a hurricane. We've decided that if there are threats for a hurricane, then we're gonna get married in Grand Haven, Michigan since I was born & raised in Ludington which is 45 min. away & closer for my family.

Hmmm... Ok, so if you get a tropical dress, would you feel comfortable IF you ended up wearing it in Michigan? These dresses seem more appropriate for the Michigan location--not really too tropical.

I need to take a picture of my dress. I'm sure the link where I bought it from is no longer up, but I'm having a tropical wedding (in Turks and Caicos). My dress is really flowy. It has layers of sheer chiffon, so it's more open in the front and then gets longer in the back. I think it'll be perfect to wear in the warm ocean breeze.

But, even if you get married in the Keys, would it be outside or inside somewhere more formal?

hmmmm, I love that second one, the Erin dress. But that's just cuz I'm a sucker for scrolly embroidery, and BLUE on a wedding gown... They're all really pretty!

So, when are you planning your wedding to take place?

Default Dress Help - wedding date

We were supposed to get married Aug. 10th of this year but a couple things have caused us to change the date do the only thing that is different is that the wedding will be next year. One of my Brides Maids should be out of her AirForce training by then, I hope.
