Default Honeymoon timing...

When are you taking your honeymoon, if you're having one at all?

Mine would be "other"! My honeymoon is BEFORE the wedding! We arrive in Turks and Caicos on a Tuesday and then have to wait until Saturday to get married (legal residency/paperwork) then we're leaving the next day!

I think we'll want to space out the wedding and honeymoon. I'm not sure when exactly we will go because Tom will just be starting as the low man on the totem pole in his PD. It might be good for us to wait and save up anyway. But we are definitely going to Sandals in Ochos Rios whenever we go!

We are techincally leaving Monday morning for Orlando (where our cruise leaves)...but we will leave our house Sunday for Kansas City (where we fly out of)...primarily because our flight leaves EARLY Monday morning and mostly because some of our family will be staying at our house Sunday night...We are having a Sunday Brunch to say goodbye to everyone and open gifts and such...

My husband and I got married on a Saturday; we left for our honeymoon the following Monday evening (or was it Tuesday?).

Two of the answers will apply to us.

We're going to a bed and breakfast the Monday after our wedding (on Saturday) for 5 days. Then in about a year we're going on a cruise to Alaska. That way we can get away right away and then save up our money to go on the big trip in a year.

No honeymoon here. Maybe for out 5th or 10th anniversary... but we'll have the kids to "deal with."

We have a trip planned 4 months after the wedding. With my work there is no way for me to take off the week b-4 the wedding and the week after. I'm sure we will do something this summer but it would just be a 2 day thing.

Finances willing, we're going to go away for a week for our 1st Anniversary.

I love Couples and Swept Away in Negril- I'd love to go there with Chris

We got married on a Sat and left the following Sat. I wanted the week in between to take back the tuxes, the rented candles, etc.
