I need a song!
OK I have my list of songs I want for the wedding. Well all but one! I need one more song for the girls to walk into. I want a vocal song the man I have play the piano ask if I wanted him to sing any thing. He is great and I know it would just tickle him to be able to sing. I need something country and that would work good for my BP to walk in to. Any one have any suggestion?

OK- well country isn't my area of expertise but I really love that Keith Urban, Making Memories of Us- great lyrics, might convert well to piano?

Sorry, I don't know country music. Though that "take your cat but leave my sweater" song made it to the NYC stations. But that probably wouldn't be good for a wedding.

Holy... I've heard that before. I don't know how. They must have crossed it over on the Top 40 stations or something... I never listen to country voluntarily.
Good luck finding a song, girly.

Ok I can't remember who did it for sure but it's an older country tune,
it goes something like, would you lay with me in a field of stones......
I seem to recall it's a song about the longevity of true love....

Found it LJ, was a duet with Tanya Tuker and David Coe
Here are the lyrics:
WOULD YOU LAY WITH ME (IN A FIELD OF STONE)
(David A. Coe)
« © '73 Captive Music, BMI / Careers Music, BMI »
Would you lay with me in a field of stone
If my needs were strong would you lay with me
Should my lips grow dry would you wet them dear
In the midnight hour if my lips were dry
Would you go away to another land
Walk a thousand miles through the burning sand
Wipe the blood away from my dying hand if I give myself to you
Would you bathe with me in the stream of life
When the moon is full will you bathe with me
Will you still love me when I'm down and out
In my time of trials will you stand by me
Would you go away...
Would you lay with me in a field of stone
If my needs were strong would you lay with me
maybe it's too depressing though but the thought of that in a wedding where country music is being done and having the bride then later say I do..... gosh I am in tears!

Has any one heard "the love I found in you" it's by Jim Brickman. I can't find a place that I can listen to all the song.

 I love that song!
Martina Mcbride - When You Love Me
"When you love me
Every part of me feels like I'm right where I'm meant to be
When you touch me
You reach through to my soul
To the truest place in me
Baby, in your arms I'm free
To just be me"
Kenny Chesney - The Good Stuff
"Cause its the first long kiss on a second date
your momma's all worried when you get home late
Droppin the ring in the spaghetti plate
cause your hands are shakin so much
It's the way that she looks with the rice in her hair
Eatin' burnt suppers the whole first year
and askin for seconds to keep her from tearin' up
Yeah man, that's the good stuff"
Faith Hill - Breathe
"'Cause I can feel you breathe
It's washing over me
Suddenly I'm melting into you
There's nothing left to prove
Baby all we need is just to be
Caught up in the touch
The slow and steady rush
Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be
I can feel you breathe
Just breathe"
Faith Hill - Because You Loved Me
"And now that you're in my life
I'm so glad I'm alive
Cause you showed me the way
And now I know now how good it can be
Because you loved me"
