My Plans
I thought I'd start a little journal where I can keep a note of how things are going.
Well my latest news it that my mum called to tell my my cloak is sewn together and ready for me to try again for length
And Moreno and I were discussing our FGs because we couldn't think of a fair way to ask them to be part of the BP. So I asked what Mo thought of me making them each a special invitation asking them if they would like to be a flowergirl and posting them out together so they'd get them at roughly the same time. Well he liked the idea so I went with it...
Yesterday I got my first reply Stephanie is very happy and wants to be our flowergirl I thought she would anyway, she had been hinting hard enough about it
Moreno's ring arrived on Monday. And he's chuffed
I had ordered it as a surprise! He had seen one he liked that was titanium with gold inlay, but to be honest they're starting to sell those everywhere & I wanted someting a bit more unusual for him... So after Jennifer showed me that you can get the titanium with black coating I got inspired to go looking! I found this one:
They say that the black coating wears off them but I'm hoping because it is set into the grooves it'll last longer. Even if it doesn't they also sell this ring without the black and that looks lovely too!

Thank you! Moreno does too
It wasn't expensive either! I found one place that had them with the black but they wanted £100 + But I got that one for less than £50

I like the ring too...it's similar to my FH ring except that the "grooves" where you have black is the shiny titanium and the other parts are brushed titanium..
when FH ring came in and I went to pick it up at the Jewelers, I couldn't believe how light it was...i'd be afraid it would fall off my finger and I would never know...

I love that ring! Check with the jeweler about replacing it if the black wears off. The company we went through will replace it if it gets scratched, the black wears off or if DH ring size changes! B/C titanium is so hard to work with I think a lot of companies have warranties like that!

Oh that's excellent Jen!
I got it shipped from the US so I doubt it'd be worth the postage sending it back and forth, but that warrantly would be really handly for you guys

This photo is just the very first fitting of my cloak, it'll look a bit different when it's finished (for a start it'll not be stuck together & to my head with pins!)
This is the pattern for my FGs' dresses, though we're still working on the colors! Probably black and ivory...
These are my cake toppers (just different initials!) I haven't decided yet whether to paint them silver or black...

Thanks everyone I think I've got more pictures in here somewhere...
Ah...
This is what the guys will be wearing... Although we've not actually booked their kilts yet.
This is what my bouquet should look like...
And roughly what my FGs & MOH's will look like...
This is how I'd like the girls hair to be...
And how I'd like my MOH's hair to be...
And how I'd like my hair to be. I have my first hair trial this friday so we shall see...

I've been talking about having it half up & half down...

And this is what we've been looking at for our wedding cake but we don't know yet whether the baker can do it for us. It's a family friend and I'm not sure if she's up to it... If not it'll still be black and white, just something less complicated...
It'll be this one with the colours inverted (so black on white) and without all the fuss at the bottom of each layer.

These are a few of the things I've made for the wedding...
The invitations... (&evening invitations & thank you cards)
The favours... I'm afraid the flash killed the detail in this pic! The ribbon is ivory & printed in gold: Ann & Moreno 5th May 2006
This is my tiara, I didn't like how my first one looked in the trial photos (you could only see the base & it didn't sparkle!)
ETA: I knew I felt tired today but I didn't realize I looked quite so tired! Maybe I should get my iron levels checked again.
This is my photographer...

Alright everyone what am I missing???
The band is booked.
The cars are booked for the WP (black limos but not stretch ones.)
Oh! I've still not looked into hiring a bus to take the guests from the ceremony to the reception. Hmm..
Am I missing much else?

I just have to say, Ann, you have AMAZING eyes!!!! Your eyes in the tiara pic are beautiful! I remember thinking that too when I saw the trial run of eye make up pics.

This tiara definitely sparkles. You are so beautiful! Will your tiara be worn over or under the hood of your cloak? I just can't get the visual. And, are you wearing the cloak during the ceremony?

Aw thank you Suzy
Lizbet, I haven't actually tried it all together yet, but the plan is to have the hood sit at the top of my head just behind the tiara, with my hair pulled back around the tiara to hide the legs of it.
I'll proably wear the hood up walking down the isle and either have my uncle lower it when we get to Mo or have Mo lower it. Problem being that the cloak is a surprise so I'll not be able to tell him what I need him to do!
Any suggestions?
