my hairdresser doesn't work there anymore :(
So I called today to make an appointment to get my hair cut, and they tell me that she doesn't work there anymore!
Now I have to phone around to find someone else who would make my hair beautiful. I am so insanely upset about this....wow that's pathetic, I'm upset over my hair. Yes ladies, I am a loser.
Ugh, so frustrating.

Not a loser at all!! That's an extremely important relationship to have ! A good hairdresser is hard to find!
Get some recommendations from friends or ask that salon if they have anyone that they would recommend.
Good luck! I hate having to change hairdressers!

Ohh, that stinks! Did you ask if she started working somewhere else? If she changed salons, maybe she talked with one of her coworkers about it.

Well, I called the salon that does some of my best friends' hair, and have an appointment for next Monday. We shall see how it goes. I just called DJ and he laughed at me for being so worried about my hair. Men, they just never understand!

Men total don't understand about hair. My hair guy is great and I know he is gay but my FH hates him and always ask why I can't find someone else. It's hard to find someone that does what u want.
munchkin your hair dresser should of called and told u. I know when mine moved he called and told all his clients. U might want to call and ask where she moved to they might tell u.

Some places don't let you do that though! Depending on their arrangement, some salons consider the clients theirs and not the sylists.

That is awful news Munchkin
I'm guessing you've had some bad experiences with random hairdressers before? I know I have! Went to one when I was searching for a new one and said I wanted an inch of and I'd swear she cut off 6!

I wil only go to one lady. She has another girls hair to do taht day, so my moh is doing my hair. I hated the stress of finding a different one to go to when I started college.

I know how stressful it is to find someone new! My girl, Cindy, back home is great! And I can just stop by her house (her shop is built on) and she'll just trim me real quick for about 10 bucks. I came up here to go to school and they wanted $35 just for a dry cut!!! So I normally just wait til I go home. Josh's best friends wife does hair now, I guess I should start going to her... hum, maybe I will...
Good luck finding someone new! Can you maybe track her down? Maybe she's just at a new salon?

Around where I live there is way too much salon etiquette (drama ) and it is always a fight between the salon, the stylist, and the client. Like PlanetClaire said a lot depends on the arrangement, some places will tell you what salon they are working at and some won’t. I was not used to it when I moved from Orange County to Los Angeles so I think may have insulted some unknowingly but I have since learned the ropes. I love the girl I have now she is down to earth and sweet as can be. I could probably go to someone who could do my hair better but I don’t want to go to someone who I have to wait 4 months to get an appointment with their understudy (true story). I love the fact that my girl is excited about my wedding and has already blocked off the entire day for me two years in advance .
You are so right though guys don’t get it, and in a way I wish I didn’t either, lol. At Christmas I got my stylist a cute gift and I gave her a huge tip. My FH didn’t understand why I gave her a both so I explained it in guy terms, “when you get a good honest mechanic you do your best to keep him with girls and their hair it’s the same thing.”

I went to the new place. She did a good job and my hair looks pretty, so I'll certainly try her again. I'm so glad it worked out okay, it was scary there for a bit.

That's good that it went well. Why was it scary for a bit?? Were you just nervous or did she do something?

I'm always nervous about my hair. It's very slippery and fine so it's a bitch to cut, and I always worry that someone will mess it up.
