Destination wedding hair and makeup

Hello brides!
I was wondering the thought process for brides who were planning (or who had) destination weddings regarding your hair and makeup.

I have been receiving quite a few inquiries about destination weddings and it got me thinking...As a destination bride, did you:

A) Do you own hair and makeup
B) Did you trust the a local salon or artist
C) Did you have a member of the bridal party or a guest that was coming do your hair and/or makeup
D) Did you bring a hair and makeup artist with you

It would seem that in light of our current economic situation, many brides are planning small destination weddings to help cut costs of what would normally be a large (and expensive!) wedding in their home state/city.

I would love some input from those of you lovelies who are planning a destination wedding or have had a destination wedding.

I just have an make artist friends and she do make-up and hairstyle with me she really great when comes in hairstyle.
