Default making my own bouquets

I did check with a florist after my last question but I think I'm still going to make my own bouquets. And I'm going to get whatever flowers are in stock when I go.

Is there something that I should do to them other than wrap the stems in ribbon? tape them or tie them first? I don't want them to flop over. I haven't even tried yet to see how they will come out so I should probably do a practice run first. Thanks for any suggestions.

You will want to tie the stems together before placing ribbon over the stems. A chenille stem would be the easiest way to do this for a novice designer. Just make sure that you tie it tight and as high on the stems as possible. You will also want to tie the stems together at the base as well. Then, you can wrap the stems ensuring they won't fall apart.

Best of luck,
