i need advice xxxxx im seeing a lovely man he is pentecostal and his family i feel things may head in the wedding direction but am concerned as i have 2 children from a past man . also we are keeping abstinate but i have so many q s ... does he have to propose ? can i ? do we have rings / help xxxxx

Hi Penni,

I don't know much about the pentacoscal piece - sorry! Let me try to address your questions even so:

It sounds like you really like this guy but are worried about how he feels about you having two children by another man. Have you ever asked him how he feels? As far as who can propose, what do you imagine would be the problem with a woman popping "the question?"

Bottom line: I think there are a few more conversations you need to have with him before the step of marriage is taken anyway - like how he feels about you having children, etc.

Sit him down and ask him directly!
