Limo rental vs. shuttle bus
Ok, I'm ahead of myself, and I know I'm not supposed to plan my b. party myself, but the control freak in me is out, lol. And my sis is helping too.
What I'm curious to know from you ladies is if any of you have ever rented a limo for this purpose. I am really trying to avoid anyone driving, as we will be drinking and FH has a burr up his butt about us staying in a hotel. There will be about 10 of us that are for sure going to the bars, more may come (i.e. my mother who still thinks she can stay up until dawn). This is where the shuttle bus comes in...there would be more room, and it'd be unique. I haven't checked prices on those yet tho.
But what do you think? Limo or shuttle bus? Or am I being crazy and just need to walk wherever we go?

I know my MOH is having a DD for that night. That person will drop us off at the door and pick us up at the door. That person will not be drinking AT ALL!! My one friend rented a limo for hers and it had a really good deal with it. We got to jump lines and did not have to pay to get in.

Burr up his butt! That made me giggle!
A shuttle bus is a fun idea but I think a limo is even more fun. There is something so silly but great about pulling up in one and everyone looking to see who comes out of it!
Have a GREAT time whichever you decide!

My girls got a limo for my BP too. Speaking of moms - one of the last things I remember from that night is looking down at my Mom (who is taller than me) and her saying: "Heather get off the bar!"

at Heather that sounds like me on my B-day. I'll have to post pictures of that. The owner of the bar we are going to is taken care of it for us. I say him and his wife will drive. But mine is not really a girls only party FH and me are having them together.

A few years back I went on a turn around trip to Vegas with a bunch of friends in a shuttle bus. It was so much fun. The girl who put is together decorated the bus and gave us monogrammed pillows and a little care pack with candy, breath mints, and a packet of five business cards with our phone number on it. (Which was an inside joke because we always made fun of guys that gave out their business card and acted like that was supposed to impress us).
There was 15 of us and we would have been cramped in a limo or have to split the group in two for two limos. The shuttle bus was great because we danced all night and had room to stretch out on the way home some people went to sleep. Shuttle busses are not very sexy though limos look much cooler. I did have a few drinks at the beginning of the night but I was far from drunk. Still wouldn’t want any of us driving if we had anything to drink + being sleep deprived + driving for 3 to 4 hours+ not hearing well from the club music = disaster. So no matter what you decide it is better than having people drive home.

For our wedding we use a stretch Hummer and it worked out great. The one we had sat 18 - 20 people. I think we actually had 20 or 21 people in there! LOL. Limos are my vote!

I went to a bachelorette party last summer where we rented a bus....it was about 10 bucks a person...but I guess you figure in lieu of cab fare or whatever it was okay. We had an absolute blast...AND we could have liquor on the bus!!! FUN TIMES

For my wedding I rented a Limo Bus (a lot like a shuttle from the outside, but it had fancy lights and a bar inside) to take all the girls around to get our hair and nails done the day of. Then I got a limo to shuttle us to the reception and home. The roominess of the bus was very nice for the more active part of the day, while we spent a lot of time commuting. The limo was nice for the looks after the wedding. I think you could go either way, but if you're going to be in the vehicle a lot, be sure there's plenty of room.

I had a window from a shuttle bus shatter all over me on Saturday night on the way back from a bar. Someone pushed on the window and it shattered.
Bus or limo, they are both fun (as long as the glass doesn't break. )

Was that a really wild night Steph?!
(em maybe I should confess I've only seen a shuttle bus once and it was on CSI Miami and was filled with strippers so maybe I'm getting the wrong idea )

I was drunk, LOL but it wasn't me that broke the window...The latch thing wouldn't open so someone went to push it open and it shattered. The thing looked like someone punched it or kicked it. The worst part was that it was raining and I didn't bring a coat that night because I knew we were going right from the bar to the van to the house

I had a few friends along at my b. party who didn't drink, so I didn't have to worry about that.
I guess it depends how many people are going and what the price of each are. Call around and compare prices... go with whichever is more affordable for the amount of people you have going.
Am I invited?!

Lol, what a great idea. And Margie, of course you're invited you silly goose. You'll have to retell the stories on here b/c I'll probably pass out before half of them occur.
