shaving Gel
I have always had problems with razer burn. I started using Gillette Satin Care (Sensitive Skin) and it has cleared up the razer burn on my legs. But when I shave above my thighs I get razor burn every time. Any one have any suggesting? I have tried all the bikini gel and it just don't work. Just wondering if any one had this problem and found out how to fix it?

I heard using hair conditioner or skin lotion works just as well. I would give it a try.

Try Coochy Rash-Free Shaving Cream. I tried it and haven't gone back to regular gels and creams. You can get it at parties but I get it online. I get it here: http://www.cheaplubes.com/index.asp?...S&Category=337 but there are lots of websites.

Also, make sure you're using a clean, new razor that's really good and sharp. When I do my bikini line, I find that it helps to soak in a warm bath first to soften the hair a bit, then wash it off so it's clean, shave, and then wash again w/ mild soap and put lots of powder on it so nothing chafes. And I wear cotton undies the day I do it to ensure nothing gets too sweaty.

I'm no help but I'll be reading this to see what works!
I've been plucking mine instead, but that tends to get me ingrown hairs...

(LOL @ your siggy, bebe!)
um, I do something similar to what CW described, minus the soap & powder after shaving. But the Gillette Sensitive Skin gel works great for me. Another one I loved even better -- but it's more $$ -- is the Aveeno shaving cream. I've said it before but I'll say it again: if you have sensitive skin, you should avoid using products with mineral oil or petrolatum in them. Once I did that, my skin problems cleared up beautifully!

I can't use any of the regular shave gels. They always leave my legs dry, even if I moisurize afterwards. I use Mary Kay's shaving foam. Not only does it keep my skin moist, the bottom of the container doesn't leave those ugly rust rings on the tub. And, it lasts forever compared to one of those regular containers from the drug store. So, I feel it's worth the extra cost for me.
