Default Wedding Album

Hi Everyone! I have a CD with all my wedding images from the photographer we hired. The photos are fantastic and I would love to showcase them in an album. Does anyone know where to get an affordable wedding album made? Thanks!

There are lots of great companies out there to help with a coffee table or magazine style album... you know, glossy pages, looks like a regular book type album. The best in the business are; My Publisher which offers a great large format style. Their designs are pretty basic, but their pages are thick, their customer service is fantastic and the quality is unparalleled. Another fave is Shutterfly which has regular size books (up to 8.5"x11). They have better design options and offer 2 albums for the price of one regularly (although not necessarily this time of the year when these places do something like 75% of their business right before the holiday). Another one to try is Mpix.com which has by far the best design and layout options and again only come in sizes up to 8.5" x 11". Make sure you preview your product thoroughly with this company, they tend to leave white edges along the sides of pages (which aren't obvious or annoying ... just not exactly perfect!). Their double spread layout is to die for and they have lots of cool background papers to choose from. Expect to pay around $120 for a 14x11 book from My Publisher and around $50 for either of the other two. That's for a 40 page book with shipping and they usually arrive within the week! Check for coupons from all of these companies online before you start the process.
If you're looking for the chunky board book type album, there are very, very few companies that will deal with non photographers as these books are incredibly expensive. A 20 page book (that's typically the limit since the pages are so thick) would cost me anywhere from $450-$1200 and that's before design fees, photo fees and whatever else they tack on. Needless to say, I have yet to do one of these books since even the demo versions would be cost prohibitive for me to try! One company that will do all of the above for brides is called storybookpages.com. John the owner is very hands on, knows all the pros and cons of different album companies and very easy to work with.
Hope this sets you on the path to making your perfect album. Marci

Default Albums

Thanks for the info....I checked out storybookpages.com, but they do not create the albums on site, only the designs. I had someone on another forum suggest weddingalbumsbydesign. I wanted a flush mount album that photographers offer, but all the sites I found were for photographers only. But I checked out weddingalbumsbydesign and I'm so excited. They are even having a buy one album get one free sale right now! It is just what I was looking for! I'm putting in an order soon and I will keep everyone posted! Thanks.

Storybookpages.com does handle the entire process from design to delivery and they do offer lots of different companies (zookbinders, etc.), so I'm not sure where you're getting your info that they don't handle the entire project from start to delivery of a finished book. Hum.... was this an ad for the other book site? I'll have to check them out. Marci

Thumbs up Wedding Album
Hi! I was looking for an album company that offers flush mount albums and design. My co-worker suggested weddingalbumsbydesign. She ordered her wedding album from them and can't say enough good things about the company. I checked out the website. I couldn't believe the prices! They are so affordable and they are having a 2 for 1 album special right now! I have looked all around the web and I have not been able to find the quality they offer for that price! I will definitely order from them!

Default A Little Help.....
Hi Everyone. I have a CD with my wedding photos from the photographer we hired. The photos are fantastic and I would love to showcase them in an album. Does anyone know where to get an affordable high quality wedding album made? I am interested in the flush mount albums that photographers offer, but I cannot find an online company that offers these directly to brides. Thanks!

She's posted the exact same thing on Brides.com and others, too.

Note to AZ: We love hearing about new wedding stuff. But post it in the classifieds or the I Spy section, don't pretend to be looking for advice and then miraculously answer your own question. It makes most of us not want to check out AT ALL the product you are advertising.

I'm impressed with your research, ladies! Way to go! I guess the red herring should have been that she contradicted something I know to be true. Glad you caught her/him!
