Can either of you help me with some instruction?

Have you seen the pearl necklaces and bracelets that have a ribbon to tie instead of a clasp?

I want these for my bridesmaids...I haven't been able to find really what I want...and what I do find is just okay...I was thinking I could make my own..but just wanted some guidance.....

Thanks

I haven't seen these but just thinking this might work.
Take your pearls and string them on the wire at the end of each wire make a loop and thread your ribbon in. When u tie your ribbon on to the loop pull the loop tight and clamp it. I'm going to go to the bead store in the next few weeks I will see what the lady says. But I don't think u could find pearls big enough that look nice for a ribbon to fit in the hole.

right....the ones i've looked at are strung with a decorative circle and the ribbon was sewn onto that

not a place that is specifically for that...we have craft stores that would just have general clerks..I have found (I think) the supplies I need on-line...I just don't know where to go from there

If you go to the webpage for HobbyLobby or Michaels, they have a section called projects which have specific directions for doing different crafts. You might find step by step directions there.

Other suggestion is a bookstore. In the magazine section there are entires magazines devoted to beadmaking, beading, jewelry, etc. Flip through one of those and see if you find something you like.
