Mr & Mrs. Rick Stennett

Hello everyone! I just thought that I would stop in, and say "Hi" to everyone! This is my first time in this part of the forum, but I am glad that there was a place for me to stop!
I am a newlywed, just having gotten married on the 14th of June.
My husband Rick and I have 3 cats all together "Micki, Stevie, " Clyde.
We hada very short, sweet ceremony, with about 14 people there at the site. We didnt think that we would have that much just maybe a lil bit of work to complete
After everyone was done, we got the shelter cleaned up, and Rick & I headed for home, with a beautifully decorated car! We had american flags flying out the back window, plus red & blue streamers on all windows except for the front 2 windows! And some white writing on all of the windows! They even had attached all sorts of stuff underneath the car, and as Rick & I took off to go around the circle, we ended up losing most of the stuff that was underneath the car!
When Rick & I got back...we were both exhausted...so we fell asleep! Rick in the recliner, and me on the couch, all sacked out! The only thing that we didnt get to ga and do is go up to the local bar..where some friends would be!
Early this morning, we were woke up, and sat around for alil while before we had to head out to go to see Rick's brother & nephew, before they took off to head for the airport in Des Moines! We said good bye, and told them that we would meet up again real soon!
After we sent Todd & Kory off on their adventure, Rick's parents, Rick & I all went to church!
While they were just starting to sing, we heard thunder, so alot of people went running to their cars to roll up the windows! I had a peice of paper, and I wrote on it to Rick, and told him that he should know why its starting to thundering...because God didnt want a devil in his house! Rick just laughed a lil bit, and then we finished up listening to the singers!
Well I think that it is time for me to head to bed soon, because we have things to do with his parents tomorrow before they head up to Des Moines, and head back for California!
But we had an excellent time with everyone that showed up for the wedding,
I do believe that it is time for me to head for bed, because I do have somethings to do in the morning, before we head over to Rick's parents motel!

I kinda figured that everyone liked to see the photos! Dont worry, I will post some as soon as I get them from either my brother-in-law or my photographer! I know that when my photographer left, she was going to go home and work on the photos! And since my brother-in-law left this morning, and didnt get in to LAX until about 9 p.m. Iowa time, then I am sure that he wont be messing around with the photos! But I do know that he did get alot of photos!
I hope that you and your family are doing well..Happy Father's Day to your hubby! I hope that you all had a wonderful day together!

Good Evening Everyone!!!!
I hope that this finds everyone doing well! Things here in Iowa have been laid back, peaceful, & relaxing! But I thought that I would check in and let you all know that we are still alive & kickin! Well Im kickin, I dont think that Rick would want to try...he might fall...! If he only seen half of the things that I post, he would probably really use his prosthetic on me! LoL!
Speaking of which, tomorrow (Thursday the 26th of June), we have to make a trip up the Knoxville VA Hospital, back to have some more work done on Rick's prosthetic leg, since he has lost so much weight, and his stump has healed so well, they are making adjustments to the prosthetic that he has. We also have to make a trip to the store on Friday in Des Moines, so that they can do the final adjustments and everything! But so far, with what they have done to his leg, he is walking better, not limping as badly as he has been, because his leg was an inch lower then the other..and the sore on his left knee is trying to heal as well as it possibly can! Of course I have been keeping my eye on it, because I am not about to let him lose anymore of that leg! I feel guilty enough as it is for letting him tell me that things were fine with his foot, when I knew better, and should have taken him to the VA sooner then what I had done.
Anyways...other then being nice & relaxed our first week as a married couple, we have been anxiously awaiting our wedding photos, just like I know that some of you are dyin to get to see how the wedding went! lol! My mother in law tried to send some of the photos she had taken via email, but they didnt come thru as images, they came thru as text & charecters! My sister-in-law had the same problem with my mother-in-law's email, so I know it wasnt us! Plus I tried to open the email with a diffrent way of reading our emails, and it still didnt work right! So I know that it wasnt us!
Our 3 "kids" (Cats) have been keeping us on our toes as usual too! Ive had to hide all the artificial flowers because they love to get up on the entertainment center, and take the flowers, and play with them! I am going to try to find something to make the flowers bitter tasting, so that I can show off my bouquet, my center piece, and some other artificial flowers that we have for the apartment! Im tired of this place looking like its doesnt have life! lol
I also played "Mrs. Fix-it" on our couch, until we can figure out a way to replace the one that we have now! I bought a 5'x 18" piece of particle board, and set it under the cushions, so that no one would fall thru the couch! The fabric has ripped & springs are comin up! Yes I do know that it is time for a new couch! But right now, our current financial situation is not letting us look at that right away! We had to have some emergancy brake work done to the car last Monday, and we still have to have the clutch looked at, and the a/c recharged in the car. Thank God my maid of honor's b/f is a mechanic, and he only thinks that it is has to do with a cable, and not the clutch itself, but I am thinkin that while we have it there, we might as well just have him do the clutch anyways! Better safe then sorry! Am I right?!?!
Ok...the wedding photos from the photographer should be coming soon! She had some touching up on them, because she didnt like the way that they turned out! But my friend/photographer is also doing this while she is on vacation with her hubby! Which is fine with us, because I know that she has worked hard here the past couple months, with getting her youngest graduated from high school, and getting her moved into her house, and then our wedding! They dont get much time together, so I am just trying to let it go, for now! But I do wanna see how horrible I look in the photo's before deciding on who all gets to see them!
Anyways....thats just about all that I know for right now from here in Iowa....So I am going to sign off and go relax with the hubby, in our bedroom! And no...nothing like that you dirty-minded people! lol! We are too old for that kind of thing! lmao!
