Default Heart Wreath

I seen these at Joann's and they want $30 each and I wanted 4 of these. Well my bright thinking lol didn't do to bad this time. I have only made one but it didn't turn out bad. They will hang on the doors of the sanctuary. I made it for around $8 It will have a black ribbon holden it up. Just need to get more black ribbon to do this.

That looks awesome lj!!! Don't you love it when you see things in stores or flea markets that you know you can make much cheaper? And since you can play with it, it usually ends up being better than the one you saw in the store. Those flowers look real too.

I know i just keep my eye out for good deals. If u type in things spelled wrong u find a lot of good deal. Not being able to spell is good some times.

I got one of those Heart foams from Joann's. U can get them at any craft stores! I looked at WalMarts tonight and mine didn't have it. Then I took black ribbon and wrapped it around it. To hold the ribbon in place I uses black stick pins. It took me and mom to do this 2 hands was not enough. I had to play with the ribbon and pins to get it to cover up the sharp edge of the Heart.
Then I took tooth picks and cut off about 1/4 of one side. I stuck the sharp side in the ribbon. I had to use a small hammer to do this. Then I took the flower and stuck it on the tooth pick. I used a drop of hot glue to make sure it would hold.
I tried it with closed roses and it didn't look right it looks much better with open roses. Then I will take my black ribbon and hook it on the middle of the heart and tie a bow at the end so it can be hung.

It might sound like a lot of work but it really only took me about 30 min to do this. If u want the next one I do I will take pictures while I do it.

LOL! Is this based on the premise that if a vendor doesn't know how to spell what he/she is selling he/she might not be too good at math, either, and may be selling it for less than it's worth? Whatever it is, I'm glad it's worked to your advantage!

A lot of people will put starting bid really low hoping it will get higher. Then don't spell the things right so no one ever sees it. I never paid attention to this till it was on CNN on night and I started typing in things spelled wrong and u would be amazed what u find.

Those are great, really nice!! they are even better because you made them, so, when people say "oh, they are so nice" you can say 'Oh, those, I made them"
I like shopping at Ebay, but I can never find a REALLY good deal!
I've actually noticed they are getting more and more expensive. same as going to the store. But thats a great tip!

Kim it is really easy! The hardest part is getting the ribbon to to look right. I had to use a lot of pins to get it to look right. If a little white shows I took a black marker and filled it in. But don't do it to dark some markers will melt the plastic.
