Any suggestions about flowers for everyone who is in wedding party...
Rick and I are going to be married on Saturday in a very small, very informal wedding ceremony! We do have a MOH and a BM, plus I have a very good friend who is givin me away in place of my father, since my own family refuses to come to our wedding!
I was just wondering if we really needed to get boutonnieres, a MOH bouquet, and flowers for the grooms mom?? I am planning on going to the local florist a lil later today, and I know that I am asking questions at the last minute! But since my own mom wont answer any of my emails that I have been sending to her, I really dont know who to ask!
Congratulations to all the people who are getting married this month! May you have a blessed life together forever!

i have never seen groomsmen without boutonnaires- its supposed to make them stick out. i am not sure if you are asking what should you do because it is informal, or are you trying to cut costs.
if both of those are the case, maybe you should consider the BM's having one single bloom with a nice satin ribbon tied to the stem (a florist can recommend some options for the flowers). i think that would be more casual, and most cost effective.
CONGRATS on your wedding!

I think the flowers are always a nice touch. And a corsage for the groom's mother will only help her to feel closer and part of everything.
The florist can give you some low-cost suggestions for everything.

Flowers have been ordered!
Yesterday morning I called the local florist, and ordered 4 single white rose boutinneres for all the men in the wedding party, a single red rose for Rick's mom, 3 roses, 2 red and 1 white for our maid of honor. I am also going to get a couple fresh flowers to put in my bridal bouquet that Rick's mom bought for me.
Thank You Wynelle and Gina for sharing your thoughts! I hope that you both have a wonderful day!
~Hugs!~

Very nice
That sounds like it will be simple yet still elegant - good choice. I'm so sorry that your family is not behind you in this. Families can be tough to deal with sometimes. The bright side is that you don't have as many people trying to take over the wedding. I've seen wedding ruined by this as the family members keep fighting right through it instead of remembering that it's the BRIDE's special day. Good luck with the big day, sounds very tasteful.

Hello everyone,
Thank you to all that have replied! As to what day2dream said..Im not too concerened anymore about what my mother does, as far as Im concerend she could stay home, and I could go and get my dad, so that he can spend the day with us. I havent talked to them for a lil while now, so the other day I sent an email to see how they were doing, and got no reply back! I sent a Father's Day card to my dad, and I slipped inside the engagement announcement that I had posted in our local paper, and I thought that may get a rise out of her, but she didnt even reply about that!
Everyone else though are excited about the wedding. My in-laws have arrived, and are tucked in for the night, after Rick & I went out for supper with them. Now we are waiting to see if my brother-in-law and nephew make it to town alright, since some of the roads that they were to take to get to our town from the airport have been flooded!
Well I think that I am going to go look around the site for a lil bit, and then I am going to head to bed, I have to be up early in the morning so that I can do a lil cleaning before my mother-in-law stops by the apartment! Then my moh and I are going to go and do our "Thing".
Have a great Friday!
~peace, hugs, & respect!~
