Default Wedding Day Hair and Makeup Horror Stories

Hello brides!
I thought I would start a thread on any wedding day hair and/or makeup horror stories and open it up to anyone who wants to contribute.
We've all had one (or have heard of someone who has!), so let us hear it!

Luckily mine was fixable - by me...

I told the lady I wanted the smokey eye look, she said no problem, we'll do a run through on the day we do a run through for your hair.

Makeup lady didn't show up for the run through.

She did show up the day of the wedding, and was absolutely lovely. She did my makeup (no concealer or powder at my request), just a bit of blush, touch of eye shadow (smokey), no lipstick, and then my ever present mascara and eye line. I wanted to look like me...

When I got out of my chair and walked into the bathroom I screamed! I looked like I had just walked out of a crack-house that I had been in for six straight days. There was so much black stuff all the way around my eyes I could have been a raccoon.

So I washed it all off and did my make up myself. I went with a light pink for the shadow and that's about it - oh, along with the mascara and eye liner, too.

The horror part? My Mom paid for this service for me and all the BMs and actually tipped the woman $40. I was shocked the woman even took it from my Mom after knowing how unhappy I was.
