Smile I'll kick this one off...

We're going for black & ivory with little touches of silver & gold.
The black is because we both wear it all the time! Plus I think it looks quite elegant at weddings. Ivory because that's the colour of my dress, I'm far too pale to wear white. The other colour was just going to be gold but I never actually wear gold so didn't really want to on my wedding day so we're using little bits of both.

So what about the rest of you? How did you decide on your colours?

Cool

I, being nice, let FH pick out ours. I suspected that it would be blue though, because he wants everything blue. So they came out as navy blue and sliver. At this point, I am debating throwing baby blue into the mix as well, just to give some other options. (I've always said my colors would be red/white/sliver, or baby blue/white/silver, so I wasn't too far off.)
But I love silver, and it isn't going anywhere! Lol.

Pretty color choices. we thought about going with a black/white theme but in the end I decided I wanted some color. We ended up with a shimmery silverish blue with accents of silver for our colors

Since my mom was my MOH, I wanted her to feel comfortable in her dress FIRST and all the others would follow suit. Well, we tried on several in lots of different colors. I was totally open at this point, although I did have red in the back of my mind. Well, we found the dress we liked and it was champagne and black. It all unfolded from there.

Default I want my post numbers back..grrr

Well as most of you know we was going with Lavender and Silver. The more I worked with the lavender the more i didn't like it. So we are now going with red and silver with a touch of black. Even if my mother thinks it will look more like a winter wedding in may. lol

Our wedding colors are black, cobalt blue, and white. We will have some silver accents as well, but white will be the main color, as well as blue. I want it pretty simple...BMs in blue dresses, white linens with colored napkins and some colored floral centerpieces.

We're going with the green family. His mom wanted to know what colors the wedding right after we were engaged and I had no clue. I love green so I told her that it would be the green family and that drove her crazy. She needed one color to hold on to. It's going to be more dark greens and sages and such so I explained and after that she was happy.

We WERE going with a light peachy orange and faded turquoisey blue back before I'd planned a "brunch" instead of an actual reception.

Default My colors

My colors were forest green and ivory with silver accents. I love dark green and I figured that my bridesmaids would look better in darker colors anyway (none of them like to wear pastels or lighter colors). I knew that my sister wanted to use navy/midnight blue as her main color, so I went with forest green.

For my first wedding, we used light/silvery blue and peach.

With Jerry, I have no idea... it will probably just be a white dress. I doubt we'll have attendants, we'll probably still stick to the small wedding idea. BUT... that's a LONG ways off!

LOL Feb, mine are hunter green and ivory, with touches of red (mild Christmas theme...) and I chose them because FH and I both love dark green (although blue is my favorite) and it was a color of my varied bridesmaids would look good in!

Are you still going to do the brunch after all the waiting? If I were you, I would throw one big-ass party!

I want to throw a big ass party, and I wanted to move it to the evening/night time. But Richy says he really likes the beach in the morning. NOW he wants to have a preference LOL I don't think it'll be hard to sway him though. You know what sucks though - we're moving and I don't want to travel way the eff down here (5 hours) if we do, for the wedding. I'm going to have to start ALL over again. reow!

Or... You could move the wedding up & have it before you move...
(I don't know if this is practical at all, just sprang to mind.)

Even I don't know if that'll be practical But it'd be a good idea if it was.

My colors were Indigo Blue, Silver, and Black. White if you count my dress. Blue is both of our favorite color so it was natural to choose a shade of blue. We went the Indigo because the paler blues made my attendants look like Cinderella.

it's ok, ljeagle, i think our wedding looks more fallish than wintery, but that's ok... my BM colors are chocolate brown, my gown is ivoryish, but the colors and accents are all in the bright family: mostly reds, but orangeish and terracottaish too, i think.

I let my MOH decide- mainly b/c it doesn't matter much to me about colors, just so long as everyone is there and happy. But were going to do a B & W wedding. I was wondering about flower colors. I'd like to be holding red, but then what do I have the girls hold? Maybe red mixed with pink?? Any ideas?

We're planning a fall wedding, so I want to go with the fall color pallate.

I think my BM dresses are going to be a cinnamon color with lighter orange bouquets. So, I guess our colors are tones of orange, brown, and gold. I'm in love with these petals:

They're kind of my inspiration for the rest. I'm getting a big bag of each color.
