Theme too girly?
Hi again! I have been trouble picking a color scheme, etc. after going through many ideas, i decided i like the light pink/ dark pink combo. i also loved these polka dot ideas i saw on the knot...

(BY THE WAY< if these images do not come up, can someone let me know how to put them in? thanks!)
it totally says "GINA!"
he says it is fine with him, and he will agree to whatever i want. i would like to get a groom's cake for him too so he can incorporate his likes, etc. into the wedding.
much of the rest of the wedding will be white with pink accents. i am not going on pink overload and having pink tablecloths or anything, and our centerpieces will be neutral.
do you think this is too much? maybe they can make the cake similar but not TOO girly? any suggestions or is it just fine?

It doesn't sheow the links because you need to register with the Knot, and I really don't have an interest to do so, but i think the pink theme would be just fine, and the polka dots would be cute.....but that's just what I have pictured in my head. I don't think it's too girly....I thinkyou could make it work in a classy way. Good luck!

I agree...I think if you don't do pink overload....it can look really classy....and polka dots are really "in" right now....

Hey, so long as your future husband is on board, who cares if it is a little girly?
Personally, I love the polka dots, and so long as you resist the urge to deck everything out in pink (which you will), I think that pink and white will look really classy. Polka dots, and the light pink / dark pink combo are really modern and sleek.
If you are REALLY concerned about the girlyness factor, maybe incorporate a third accent color like a chocolate brown occaisionally?

I got to see the pictures and I think that would be lots of fun! I agree though, if you are worried about it being too girly (which I don't think it is but if you are concerned), add a third color like chocolate brown. You could make it a very subtle third color and then it would help to bring down the pink factor just that little bit.

Thanks! my original colors were midnight blue/ light pink, so i will have some dark blue accents at the wedding. hopefully that will tone it down a little.

my wedding colours are light pink and emeral green, the main colour is pink, the green is on the boys side, but mostly everything else has more pink then green, our ceterpeices have pink ribbons and pink floating candles. with green water absorbing crystals. my cake is going to be white with pink petals on it and the large slab cake will have a single pink rose laying accross it. we will have green ballons on the table to give it some green. we are going to have pink lighted tulle on the celing, and pink rose garland on the tables.
if your worried it will be too girly, maybe add one "boy" or neutral colour in there and just put it in a few things so its not so "girly", maybe like in the centerpeices and decor.
the reason we picked green as our other colour is because its mike's birthstone as well as green goes with pink because if you think of a pink flower the stem is green so there are easy ways to accent with green when you have pink.
ETA I didn't notice your other post, blue would be awesome with pink also, for some reason the ocean just popped to mind... lol

I think that pink polka dots wouldn't be too girly espically if you have midnight blue as an accent colour. I would be sure to stick to midnight blue and not a baby blue because then it might look to baby showery.
