Default Place to Honeymoon in January?

We're planning to honeymoon right after the wedding for like 4-5 days and then do something longer once I am out of school for good. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to go in January? We're not partial to sun/sand or to snow, either would be fine. The only place that we really don't want to go is Florida - no offense to anyone that lives there, but we have been a few times before and were looking for something different.

Thanks ladies!

I think both of these sound fun. Do something that you both enjoy doing. This may sound lame but we like to go to car shows, swap meets and watch drag races(anything with cars really). So even though we will honeymoon where we are getting married(Hawaii) when we return we are going to a huge car show/swap meet/drag racing event!

I was also going to suggest one of the Carolina's...you can rent beach houses in the winter months for super super cheap and it's still extremely gorgeous there!!!

We went to Costa Rica in December after our wedding and it was perfect! Not too crowded and gorgeous weather.

My pick would be the mountains of NC or Soutwest VA... Check out Fire Mountain: http://www.firemt.com You can get a treehouse!

You could also rent a cabin in the Pocono's, SW PA, WV, or MD (Deep Creek). It would be closer, but also a little colder. But, it's your honeymoon - it's not like you'll be spending much time outside. As long as there's a hot tub and a fireplace, does the weather really matter?

We did a bed & breakfast thing as well. It was very relaxing and centrally located to many different places to eat, shop, visit, etc.

Also, we didnt get back with the feeling of needing a vacation from the vacation because we did too much and wore ourselves out. Instead we were well rested, and ready to get back to reality...

We also looked into the Pocono area as well, but opted to stay in Texas because of Andrea.
