Default lavender for a fall wedding?

How can I make a lilac/lavender color work for a fall wedding? Or wouldn't it?! LOL I was thinking of pairing it with a dark brown...any thoughts would be appreciated. And here is the links to the dresses I love...in lilac

I am of the opinion that you can do any color, any time. I think it would look really good paired with brown!

Even though it might not be a common color for the fall...it's your wedding...choose the colors that YOU want! I think pairing it with a brown would make it "less" spring or summer...good around on theknot.com and flickr.com and you'll find tons of images that will help!!!

Thank you for your responses! That makes me feel better about it! Do you have any ideas now how I can incorporate the brown?

Put your FI and the GM in brown suits with lavender ties or vests or pocket squares. Or Give the BM brown shawls to wear since it will be fall and possibly cool/cold depending on where the wedding is. You can wrap your flower stems in brown ribbon.

I was going to suggest brown as well!

As for attire, would brown ties/vests work with the tuxes?

My wedding colors were Lavander, white and silver. This is how I did it...

MOH - Lavander dress/silver jewelry
Junior bridesmaid & flower girl - lavander and white dress
The little girl walking next to ring bearer (sp?) white dress

The men/boys went with black tuxedos and silver vest/ties....

So you can do something like a lavander dress for the bridesmaids with brown as detail and the GM can go with black tuxedo and brown vest.

Or, brown dresses with lavander accents and black tuxedos with lavander vest/tie

I'm trying to decide on wedding colors also, for a fall wedding. I have a few combos that I'm loving right now...lilac & chocolate brown or powder blue & chocolate brown.
