bang head Wedding Band Help NOW WITH PICS OF RING

Wedding Band shopping is not going well. My engagement ring is an antique, it was my Great Aunts. I can not for the life of me find a band that complements it. Its hopeless

My mom and I are starting to consider some estate sales or even pawn shops. UGH! Someone give me some ideas please.

Could you post a picture of your ring? That might help us get a better idea of how to match a wedding ring to it.

I would seriously consider the estate sales, I have my grandmothers ring set and it's very similar to yours, so I would say the era to be 60 years or so ago and even now I see older ladies wearing their wedding sets, so estate sales may be the way to go. Pawn shops wouldn't hurt either. I did at one point wear my grandmothers engagement ring (when I was married to my ex) with a simple aniversary band with diamonds. I think it worked nicely together. Good luck! Nice ring!

My e-ring is also an antique with a setting similar to yours. I ended up getting a channel-set band from Wal-mart. We had looked at upscale jewelers but the diamonds seemed too flashy with the antique setting. It didn't hurt to spend far less on the ring, either!

ETA: This is the band we chose:

I have tried on a bunch of different channel set bands and nothing really worked for me. I mean most of them were very beautiful and looked nice next to my e ring but nothing looked amazing. I keep thinking that I will try one on and I will get that WOW feeling.

What a beautiful ring! Have you thought about just a plain band in the same metal just to compliment the uniqueness of your e-ring? What about talking to your jeweler (if you have one you trust or one you're interested in that you frequent) about creating something for you? There was no matching band for my e-ring, so our family jeweler created one to go with it-it's really neat to have a handmade band to go with-he even matched the intricate engraving (I got to watch some of it-amazing!). It really wasn't any more expensive-it might worth a shot! Good luck!

Same here, and I love it! It fits perfectly, it's unique so no one else has it...

We had the same problem with my e ring...... I let Bob do all the end deciding (why give myself the added stress!!!!). Any we both loved a plain gold band and it works the best with the ring I think..... sometimes extra flash is just to much, IMHO, and simplicity makes a bigger flash if that makes sense...... Not that we women don't enjoy the bling!
