Victorian tussie mussie?
Does anyone know what a Victorian tussie mussie is? I read it in an article about flowers. I'm assuming it's some kind of boutique?

Found this through google... Victorian Tussie Mussie, Flowers
Tussie-Mussie
Historically a Victorian bridal bouquet, the Tussie-Mussie is a popular arrangement that can be used for any occasion. The Tussie-Mussie is a small, compact cluster of flowers with bound stems creating an ultra-charming round bouquet. From a dainty fingertip bouquet to a more lavish creation, the Tussie-Mussie can be designed to be hand-held or slipped into your favorite vase.
Another find, but this one refers to the Tussie Mussie as a vase used in the 1800's with dried flowers...
Ladies in the formal Victorian 1800's filled tiny cone vases with fragrant bouquets to make their stroll along the streets more aromatically pleasing. These vases became known as Tussie-Mussies holders. Tussie refers to a knot of flowers. Mussie refers to the moist moss that kept the flowers fresh.

Here's a link to a site that not only explains the background behind a tussie mussie, but also the idea of how to make them!

Bouquet??
this is interesting.....I always thought the tussy mussy was the decorative metal cone that you would put your stems in to create a bouquet....(basically what today would be like the florist foam) but just the blooms stuck out the top....
tussy mussy
instead of a bouquet with the stems showing would just be a "clutch bouquet"....

Duh! Thank you. I had a moment.
The article said something about using one as a holder. That would make sense.
