Question Tiny envelopes...

Has anyone seen those tiny envelopes for sale that you put with your rsvp cards? They must sell them some where but I haven't had much luck...

LJ You seen them on ebay at all?

I'd rather buy them oline as I can't get to most of your shops

I had printed out cards to send but I'm not very happy with the wording anymore so thought I'd make more but because my cards are so narrow it'd need to be tiny ones. The size that you get cards in from the florist would be idea.

Great idea about the florist, I wouldn't have thought of that.

Aren't those too small to mail through the postal system? I think there is a minimum size (3x4?).

Just checked the USPS web page. Minimum size for envelopes is 3 1/2 by 5 inches. Which seems awfully big to me. If you check the small print on the envelope examples in the above posts, it says "Envelopes are not mailable."

But then, you never said you were mailing them in the first place.

I guess I'd better look into that before I buy any... Thanks for the heads up Wynelle! They were going to have stamps on them for my guests to post back... Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess...

I looked at the first suppier but he doesn't have postal charges for europe so he'd probably charge a fortune for it!

I've not had any time to check the others yet.

I'm sure the requirements in Scottland are different than for the USPS. Ann, would you know where to find that out? Also, people mail back those little envelopes here all the time. That's odd.

You can also send out postcard RSVPs if it is too difficult to find the proper envelopes. Most of the envelopes here are actually 3.5 by 5". That is the size of a recipe card, so not as big as you might think.

I was thinking of using the little ones because I wasn't satisfied with the wording on the postcard replies I made. I thought I'd look into those tiny ones because they should have fitted inside but if it's like Syringa said and they are 3.5" wide then they wouldn't fit inside so I'd not be able to use them.

My invites are only 3" wide, they're tall and skinny (21cm by 7.5cm if you want to turn that into inches!) I had made post cards to go inside them and I don't *think* the post office would have a problem with those, I mean you can buy round postcards in Glasgow and they still deliver them so I don't see mine having a problem.

I'm sorry, I think I'm just confusing everyone

ETA: I'd better let you all see the wording and you can tell me whether you think it's worth going to the trouble of making new ones. If you find these confusing please let me know. It was quite late at night when I came up with the idea and printed them off! I'm not happy with the wording but I don't know if it's one of those tiny things that'll bug me now but won't seem to have been worth the hassle after the wedding is over

They say:

M__________

Thank you for your invitation which I/we will be able/will not be able to accept.

That's all they say. I figured I'd have a list of whoever was invited and would know from that how many were accepting but now I'm not sure. I figured at the time it'd be an everyone or no one scenario...
