I don't know to what you're referring.

Oh wow. I've never heard of that!

I've seen them on people's houses, like above the garage or above their front door. I've never heard of giving them as good luck charms for a wedding. I like that!

they don't normally give you a real metal one anymore Heather!

They give you a silver coated plastic one normally, it's quite pretty and it's attached to a ribbon... It's lucky to get little gifts off of any children attending the wedding. So if any of our friends bring kids then they'll present us with horseshoes or other little keepsakes.

Jaq: I'll probably put them into my 'treasure box' My boss gave me a beatiful big silver box that's got celtic patterns on the lid so I'm going to keep little bits in there... An invitation and order or sevice, a flower from my bouquet. Whatever little bits & pieces I get my hands on!

ETA: something like this Heather:

Ann and Jacqueline
That is a really cute idea. I like the Christmas tree idea. I also like just putting them in a box.

That's great! My FMIL has a real one she got on her wedding day, it's hammered into the wall above her door to 'keep away the bad spirits' You know how they get over here

I'd love a real one
