Colors for a beach wedding???
So the wedding is in Hawaii on the beach and I cant decide on colors for my bridesmaids. I know I can pretty much use any color because they have so many different flowers to choose from but I love all the colors. Any suggestions as to what you would go with??

I would keep it to beachy-colors... something that would match the water - like a light sea-foam green, or very light blue.

I would go a tropical teal color or Blue. If you are feeling adventurous then a tropical orangy color. Let me see if I can find and example!

Because it's Hawaii, I like the brighter tropical colors, too. If it was, say, Florida or the Outer Banks-type of beach, I'd go lighter beachy, like Heather suggested. But everything in Hawaii is so saturated in color, it will probably be gorgeous if you use saturated colors too.
But pick one or two, don't do the full range of Hawaiian colors.

Both of those colors are beautiful and would fit perfect with a Hawaii wedding. They are tropical and fun.

I think teal and fushia are great together and would definantly be able to compete with the vibrant colors of Hawaii.

That's true - good point. I'm just so not into loud colors at all, but I bet in that setting it would be beautiful.

Thanks for the input I guess its just up to me to decide now if I go with tropic or the coral huh?! What do you think about having my 13 year old sister who will be a junior bridesmaid wearing a lighter version of one of these colors or shoul her dress be the same color exactly? I will try to post an example.

Stupid computer just ate my response--
Anyway--this weeks Weekly US (dated Feb 04, 2008) has a section of the best bridesmaids dresses (probably because of 27 Dresses. Anyway there are 3 "Beach Wedding" dresses and two of them are coral--an orangy color and a pinky coral. Also in "Day Wedding" is a pretty J.Crew purple cotton dress.
I like the shorted orangy-coral David Meister. It is feminine/formal enough to go with your dress, and looks to be immnently rewearable as a cocktail or party dress.

hi! i saw the other mentioned about the blues. "tiffany" blue is very popular right now... but not my favorite. no one likes to wear crazy color dresses so my friend did strapless black dresses with tropical bright flowers (hot pinks, orange, purple, etc) so it added that POP!
