Default Another June 28 here

I am marrying my high school sweetheart after 6 long years of being apart, We dated all through high school, went to prom together, lost "it" to each other, and broke up when we were 18 and 19 (i am older by a little over a year). I started dating someone else who I got pregnant with almost right away and stayed in that relationship for my daughter, finally said enough, and Mike and I found our way back to each other. He loves my daughter like as if she was his own (he has no children), and can't wait to marry me and add more to the clan. My daughter loves him to!

wow I have been updating everywhere lol

lets see if I can find them all and throw them together lol

About home mode invites:

i made mine, I bought pretty papaer from the dollar store, i bought 10 packs of 20, so 10 bucks and some ink, thats all i needed, i made mine in PSP, and these are ours, but imagine around it, a rose and a volin, on beige paper, they are so pretty

photobucket makes it a bit smaller

About non-negotiables:

my non negotiables were my dress and my daughters dress, to me i had to know they were *it*, I tried to save money on the dresses really but it didnt happen that way. I walked into the bridal salon and said "I want something not to fancy, not to plan, and something that has flowing arms if possisible, and if possible I would like to keep it under 300" She showed me everything I decribed for 300 and under, and also some out of my description, just to see if they were "for me", but I couldnt "feel it" you know, well she brings out this one dress and says to me "this is probably way over your budget, but if you like it I will personally take 150.00 off the price" It was 850, so I would get it for 700 +tax (798 after tax), and they had layaway, so I took the chance, and I put it on, and it was PERFECT! I started my layaway process that day, I am alm ost done paying it now, I will have it paid before the end of the month. My daughter is very petite for her age, Shes 5 years old weighs 35 lbs. Well I tried about 15 dresses on her before i swore i wouldnt find "the dress" everything would to have ethier had to be taken in or both up and in, My MOH was trying to find her dress in one store i hadn't tried things on my daughter yet, i grabbed about 6 dresses, and started on them for my daughter, she was cranky from trying on dresses all day, some she liked but I knew were not "it", I hope all my paratheses (sp?) make sense, anyway I tried on the 1st 5 number 3 I was really thinking on because it was really cute, and tho it was a little big it was more manageble compared to the other dresses, I wasnt even willing to consider that she might grow or gain weight because she has gained 10 lbs since her 1st birthday and grown 2.5 inches in 2 years (her father was 5'3" and 110lbs, shes taking after him) Well I was ready to give up and go with #3, because looking at number 6, I really didnt think it was going to happen, it actually looked to small when I was looking at it, not height wise, but waist wise if thats possible with my daughter. I resigned myself to thinkingit wouldnt fit but she actually said she liked the pink flowers and she wanted to try it, so I said to put it on, and it fit PERFECTLY, no taking in, not taking up, she walked out of the dressing room and said "mommy this is my dress" My MOH looked at her and said "OMG your buying that one right?" My daughter sat on the victorian bench outside the dressing room and the way the dress fell around her in my mind all I could see were wedding pictures, I knew it was "the dress". Through all this i stopped looking at prices, but i didnt care it could have been 1000 and I would have bought it. The dress was 200 + taxes (239). Its so pretty.

I got our DJ cheap, I got the wedding site free, just need the chairs, the minister was a set price and of course marriage liscence is a set price, the favors i am making, and we also donated to charity, the reception hall is not bad of a price, the centerpieces I made, I bought A LOT of stuff off ebay and the decorations will be done mostly by us, we are hiring someone to do the tulle on the celings tho because its just to much work for us its worth it to have her do it (consult for that is tommorro morning), my hari i am having done professionally in my home, which is useful so the kids can nap while we have our hair done and then wake up for thiers

so i was willing to compromise on the rest but not the Dresses

(April 1st) I wanted to let you all know we finished the flower girl basket. We bought a white easter basket at the dollar store, I went to walmart and bought lace and pink ribbon (they didnt have any nice ribbon at the dollar store or i would have gotten it there, but it was cheap at walmart), I bought lace patches at the dollar store and little pink rosebuds at the dollar store. and with some time and patience, and glue gun of course, we turned a simple basket into a beautiful flower girl basket. I am going to try and get my camera working a take pictures of it. I am making my own centerpieces, not renting them or anything, this way guests can take them home too. I got vase/fishbowl things and put pink ribbon (our colours are pink and green) on them (my camera is not working right now or I would take a picture) I will get one eventually, and got green water absorbing crystals to put in them (you definately dont need much of that stuff, i tried it out in one last night, put a tablespoon and it filled the one to the top once they expanded, I seperated it between 3 of them lol, so now I know not even 1/2 a teaspoon in each lol. The ones going on the card table and cake tables are a bit fancier then the ones going on the tables. They will all have pink floating candles on them, and the tables will also have pink silk petals. I am renting an arch and lighted tulle for the celing, I have already made my money box, and will be making the card box within the next week or 2.. what else do I need. Oh food table (we are not having a meal, just midnight buffet, evening wedding)will have wine glasses with the crystals and little tealights to decorate between the food platters.. So what else cab I do to make it seem more decorated. The cake table and card table will have pink rose garland on it. of course the card table will have guestbook and Pen. I have though about expanded picture with guests writting thier wishes around it by card table, umm anything else??

About the momrial dance I plan on doing:

I plan on doing a memorial dance to think of my father the night of my reception, I was going to play Heartland - I loved her 1st and invite people to dance as well, tho i am not sure who i would invite on the floor to dance, anybody of course but shoudl i invite a certain group. My father passed away when i was 9. I was a daddies girl. I love my mom to bits, and I am having a mother daughter dance, I chose the song "because you loved me" - Celine dion for that, but just wondering if I should invite a certain group up for the memorial dance. Incase you dont know the wors to the song here they are

Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment and each others face
So much in love your alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world
I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it still hard to give her away
I loved her first

How could that beautiful women with you
Be the same freckle face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But its still hard to give her away
I loved her first

From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first

(April 10th) I had my dress fitting today, I guess i gained some weight *sniff* because its so much tighter then the last time I tried it on, so shes gonna take it out a bit, my next fitting is in may... we got pictures of the fitting but i dont have those yet

Thats all I can find for now.. I am going to add pictures of the centerpeices and flower girl basket very soon.
