I'm whining....feel free to ignore
Dag gone it. I can't win, I really really can't. I had bronchitis about a week (I think) ago, never really stopped coughing completely, although it lessened in severity. Then starting this past Saturday, I sneeze all day (very unlike me), my eyes are itchy and watery, and my nose is not serving the purpose of allowing me to breathe. Oh, and TMI here, I'm still coughing, but it's coming up now. (I know, gross. ) I'm assuming it's allergies, but nothing OTC I've taken has worked. I just want to breathe! And....I can't go back to the doctor b/c I can't afford it right now. I have to pay off my last ER bill first.
Ok, I'll stop whining now. Sorry for my little tirade there.

Steam! Have a hot shower or stick your head over a bowl of hot water.
Or have you seen those new products- don't know who makes them but one is like a giant tablet and you put it in the bottom of the shower and it releases mentholated vapours! And the other is a plug in one!
Or good old Vicks VapoRub- damn good stuff!!
And better that it comes up!
Hope you feel better. All that at once is a drain!

I agree with Claire. It's better if it comes up. Otherwise, it could develop into pneumonia.
I also agree that Vicks Vapo Rub is awesome!

Ditto to the other ladies. Even thought its gross, and it'll make me throw up sometimes, it's so much better to get it out of your lungs.

Keep coughing it up, babe! It's the best thing for you! Cough it up, spit it out. Just don't spit it at any of the kiddies at work!

Yup, agree with the others, as my grandma used to say, "It's better out than in."

I am feeling a tad better today, thanks for the well wishes ladies! I took an Allegra last night, and it seems to have stopped the watery eyes. I'm still coughing now and then, but that will just have to go away on it's own. I'm going to have to get some of those Shower Smoothers...they sound like a good deal.
