Default Back at square one.... kinda

Hello Ladies,

I have been away dealing with life and the obstacles of this year... My wedding was put on hold due to emergencies and family stuff. Now its back on and we have a date of July 12, 2008. The wedding is set for 5pm. I have a few questions and would like advice.

The original colors were apple and platinum or a champagne color. I was gonna wear an apple colored gown. The picture can be found in one of my previous threads here. And my girls were gonna wear platinum or a champagne color. Well i have been thinking and dont think my fiance who is a minister would be too keen on me wearing a red dress at our wedding. I would like to wear this dress now... I am stuck on it and its definitely what i am going with http://www.thebridalshop.com/bonny_essence/8616.htm

My questions, I love the idea of red and gold. But i dont want a bright red for them.

1. What color of red/burgundy would be good for the bridesmaids?
2. What should my groom and groomsmen wear?
Any ideas would be nice.

Thanks in advance

I think that dress is beautiful. I think it would go wonderful with a deep burgundy color for the girls. The boys can wear a black tux with the same burgundy accents, such as ties, vests, etc. The groom can either do the same or find a color similar to your dress color for his tie, vest, etc.

I totally agree with Wembley -- Definitely black for the guys, with burgundy accents, and your groom with black and a golden color, like your dress, which is lovely, by the way. A deep burgundy for the bridesmaids would be beautiful.
Other reds can be difficult to match. You could have everything from a heritage color off-red to fire engine red to apple, but I really like the apple, also.
What kind of flowers are you using?
