Angel Wedding Theme
My daughter Brittany and her fiance Gene will be getting married on April 19th, 2008. She has chosen an Angel Theme for her wedding. She has chosen the colors Royal Blue, Cornflower Blue and White. We know that she wants her flower girls (there will be 2) to both wear White and wear Angel Wings and carry a basket filled with Angel Dust (Glitter) instead of flowers, and also have them carry a Fairy Tale Wand and a wreath of flowers in their hair. We will be using Angels to decorate with for the Reception as well. I am looking for ideas for incorporating this theme into her special day. Its sort of Fairy Taleish yet not, cant explain what I mean.

Welcome to Pash!
I love the colors. And for your first, welcome-wagon bit of unsolicited advice...are you sure about the glitter? Glitter is a massive witch to get out of ANYTHING...carpets, clothes, little girls' hair, and if you are having this in a church or any other location you should check with them ahead of time to see if they are okay with glitter being "dusted" down the aisle. Even if you have an aisle runner, the stuff will get everywhere.
That said...we love pictures if you've got any. Welcome again!

Ooo that's a good point-I didn't think to mention it! Our church didn't even allow tossing rose petals because they stain. I think my pastor would have had a kitten if I'd gotten glitter on everything!

I think that the angel wings are a really cute idea, but I also agree about the glitter. At my site they would have charged a "clean-up" fee of 250$ if there was anything thrown.

Glitter
Well, I thought it might be a bad idea too, I seen it somewhere online where someone else was throwing glitter and then I thought well it probably would be hard to get out of anything not to mention how it would get on their fingers and stick like glue....so....Ill probably just stick with Rose Petals. I thought about Confetti but it sticks too, I guess Artificial Rose Petals would be the best option.. thanks for the tips!

Most churches will give you specific guidelines as to what can be "tossed" as will most public facilities. And it is amazing as to what is not allowed anymore.
The angel wings sound adorable, but beware little one carrying "fairy wands" AND wearing wreaths AND baskets with glitter or rose petals, etc. Little kids only have two hands and very short attention spans.

I missed the wands the first time I read it. I'd probably to baskets over wands, but definitely one or the other--it seems a little much and how are they going to toss if they have a wand in the other hand? I think the wings could be really cute, though.

I thought of that last night too. The wands and all, both the flower girls are 8 and 9 years old so they are not little ones at all. But still I agree about them not being able to hold a basket and a wand. I wish I could remember where I read that online as Id like to ask that particular bride just how that turned out Thanks!

I agree with using the rose petals vs. the glitter...If you are using an aisle runner that could be rolled up before the guest exit(high volumn traffic)....try tipping the rose petals with glitter. Shake the petals good before that trip down the aisle and fall off should be minimal. Use glitter spray on their hair.(the kind designed for hair applications) You can also use glitter blush on their cheeks....it's the little things sometimes that add the most.
