Guatemelan/Italian Wedding-HELP w/Lasso

Hey,

I am Italian, and my fiance is Guatemalan. We are having a non denominational ceremony, but would like to include the Lasso tradition.

I have no idea how to go about it, and his family just tells us it has to be part of a religious ceremony since that's what they really want for us.

I have a lot of questions that I can't seem to get answered through my research online.

1. Can the lasso attendants be bridesmaids and groomsmen too?

2. How can we incorporate the lasso in a non religious ceremony?

3. Is there wording to provide to the officiant when the lasso is placed that does not include religion?

4. When is the lasso removed, and by whom? ANy info on the logistics would be awesome

that seemed to answer some of your questions. You can use the wording for your base and change whatever you like. Sounds like you can have your attendents do the lasso or have special people just for that. It seems pretty flexible really - I think you'll be able to make it work just how you want it.
