white chair bows
We are having white feather arrangements for the tables. The bridesmaid dresses are an unusual colour of violet that cannot be found in chair ties and so we will be using white. What else could go on the chair tie that doesn't break the bank, doesn't look tacky, but gives some colour?

Welcome to Pash!!
Do you have to have chair bows? What color are the chairs? We just used white chairs and didn't put anything on them....

Welcome!
I was thinking maybe focus more on the table arrangements than putting more on the chairs. If you already have the bows, then you're in good shape there. I mean, people will be sitting in the chairs, moving them around, hanging over the back to watch the dancing, etc., so you really don't want to load those up. Now pretty centerpieces or flower arrangements might be a good place to start next-I found a florist that did a gorgeous job of finding complimentary flower colors based on a color swatch of my BM dresses-you might look into that?

You could buy a stem of a silk flower that comes close to matching the violet - hydrangea, lilac, etc. and tie that on to the bow somehow.
But I agree with AshyBekka - I would leave the chairs white and then try to find centerpieces that work. It would tie it all in together very nicely.

I was also thinking flowers. If you need to tie back the chairs, maybe you could find a very large pin & decorate it with big silk blooms?
Honestly I'm not all that creative, but I tried

there are many posts here giving great ideas on alternatives but if you want to use bows for your chairs and cannot find a color that is like the one you used on your bridesmaid dresses how about looking into other colors of the same shade or looking for another color that would accent or complement the color that you are using
